It's time to send your questions in for the next instalment of the general Q&A. Put them in the comments below!

Devil Ray Charles

With the covering of a case like Zodiac, should we expect to see more high profile/well known cases of the same ilk (e.g Bundy, Gacy, etc) ?

Demi V

You mentioned in the last Behind the Files you don't always have court transcripts. Are there restrictions for the team because you're based in Australia to request them for US cases (where it's considered public record) and, to that same note, for the Australian-based cases, are you not allowed to request them? I never thought of the access before until you mentioned it.

Neil A.

Casey - how many ppl outside the show know your real identity as Casefile host? When meeting new ppl what do you tell people you do for work?

Telma M

oooh this is SUCH a good question and now I'm super curious about the answer!

Byron Ridenour

Hey team, is there a way we can submit requests for cases?

Monica

Do you let people know if you are covering a case they suggested? Also, who does Benji belong to? (@fetchitbenji) haha

Cassandra Bae

How do you separate yourself from Casefiles and your personal life? I assume some cases are harder than others. Do you have certain hobbies to distract you?

Stacie

The Bernd Brandes case begins with Reinhold accessing a cannibal forum. What kind of research was done for this episode? Did you access any forums?

Michael

Casefile team, how was the intro theme music decided on? Was it a deliberate decision to make it short and memorable? Or was that an accidental outcome?..

Michael

Anonymous Host, how was the decision made to keep the podcast as a single narrator style? And how was the decision made to invest in good writing?…it feels like this is where so many other podcasts fall short and where Casfile stands out above all others

Theresa Starbuck

The Yorkshire Ripper could do with an update now he has died! Cannot believe how he hoodwinked the mental health professionals for so long!!!!

Taryn-Lee Biggar

I know some fans prefer the lesser known cases, but I'd love to see the Casefile team's treatment on the Jon Benet case, amongst others

Amie

The research, writing, production, music and narration that goes into each episode shows the teams passion. Casey and team do you see Casefile as long lasting career that you will possibly retire doing?

AR

How do you choose who writes for the series? As you've gained more popularity, have you had more people wanting to write for the show? Does that make selection difficult?

Abhi Ram

I think Casey has covered this already - Case 25

Amber

Thank you for the reminder, Abhi! I guess it's time for a re-listen of all the older episodes!

Amber

Thank you Abhi. I deleted my question, but it sounds like it's time for me to revisit all the old cases.

Eli Manning

Hi Casefile team, is there a way to listen to the Simone Strobel case? I’m pretty sure you guys did one on her and had to pull it?

Chris Harfield

Firstly, thanks to you Casey and the whole Casefile team for putting together such a fantastic podcast. By far my favourite of the many I listen to. The information you provide is always so thorough, what sources do you use for your research? There is a case that I plan to research which took place in my hometown in the UK many years ago, I just don’t know where to start.

Shan He

Hi casefile team, what is your favorite Crime tv drama of all time?

Mr Chips

What is something that Americans eat that you find bizarre or unappealing? This can be a whole “dish” or an ingredient or product (example: I, an American, find marmite/vegemite bizarre)

Mr Chips

If you could collaborate with another podcast (or media production company) for a multipart or special feature, who would you pick?

Mr Chips

For Casey: Over the course of the past six years, how has your job as narrator affected your voice, or your health in general? Do you take any special considerations to take care of yourself? After all, your voice is the signature of this show.

Mr Chips

Lastly, are there any differences in how you write the episode for cases that are solved vs. unresolved?
