When the Koneva family fled to England to escape the war-torn Balkans, their hopes for a peaceful new beginning were soon shattered. In May 1997, an unknown intruder entered their London home and claimed the life of 12-year-old Katerina Koneva. The subsequent investigation spanned multiple countries and unravelled a frightening and prolific figure known as “The Beast.”

I love this pod. Its the delivery from the narrator mostly! Nothing is close to this good! But can we get less patreon picks and more full eposodes as patreons? I thought the picks were just some extras we got, good as they are. Also, when may we see the claremont killer re completed and snowtown released again? Love your work guys!

How heartbreaking for Katerina's father, to second guess his decision to chase down the attacker 💔

Amber

What a rough case. Thank you CF team for your sensitive coverage of it.

What a cluster of mass proportions!! So sad for Katerina and her family and all the other victims. Maddening

Katy Turley

What in the actual f*ck????? This is infuriating…on so many levels. So sad for all of the victims 🥺

Mr Chips

What a sad story! But also I would be so pissed if my own wife and son thought I’d be capable of killing my daughter.. W-T-F!

Okay first off… we changed the intro?!? I say it to myself lol each time beginning an episode. Now I need to learn the new one

Hey team, love your work. It seems you are changing your intro. Can I make sure you’ll continue to mention whether the episode contains crimes against children? This is really helpful especially when one doesn’t always read the description. As a suggestion if you could further delineate between episodes involving sexual crimes against children vs non that would be incredible. I’d say a decent proportion of your listeners might be able to digest the latter but not the former.
