Im fifty fifty when it comes to it cuz thanks to comander damage it keeps people with life gain builds from ramping 1000s of hp form being immortal but I have played without commander damage and it can be fun

Tristan Thomas

I feel that commander damage is an important part of the format. I’ve played without it a few times, and those have been some of the most miserable games of Commander I have played.

Shane

In cEDH I think we should just because of how competitive it is but in a casual setting I say we should scrap it because its not as competitive and gives commanders a chance to do what they do more often I.e. lathril etc.

Stephen L Nowland

You're not wrong about the power level in EDH, it's going exponential. Commander damage is really useful and necessary in the format.

cool dude

Not to sound dismissive, the answer is very clearly "no" and there's many good reasons for it.

NOT TOM CRUISE

No, for the simple reason that it’s sometimes the only way to kill your opponent
