I agree with a lot of what Prof has shared. WoTC/Hasbro is looking at profit margins and turning the game into something different. Decrease what you get, keep product at same price or increase it - is not focused on the longevity of the game or the accessibility to the players or bringing in new players. The chase of the god pack sounds neat but the reduction in cards and also the fact as prof shared some rares, a mythic’s not even being worth much leaves a lot to see because if I hit a god pack but all the mythic/rares were junk I’d be disappointed. Just buy singles. This is turning into a “whales” game. But at what point does just buying singles become inflated in price to compensate those whales that need to make back some of their lost funds from over cracking packings to get that hit chase cards and/or god pack?

It was thoughts of this video that helped me decide to buy singles last night, and I'm so pleased I did I could have gotten something fancy and rando from packs, but instead now I *FINALLY* own a Nykthos and TBH I'm thrilled and super excited for the first game I get to use it in. This whole thing is a feel bad across the board imho. And as insane as this sounds, I'm also annoyed that it means Collector Booster drafts won't work out, math wise. I KNOW that's niche, but the concept irks me.

%100 agree. %95 of my friends say they don't want to get into magic due to the price as is. Now those wanting to start will get less for the same price.... It's mid maxing which feels like a cash grab that burns out players and brings in collectors. Players will never like that
