Hey guys! My next audio roleplay is gonna be a little plot heavy and I've been thinking of adding a couple extra female voices in it, as side characters. But I also don't want the audio to sound too "busy" I guess? If I add a couple more characters, it might feel less like an audio roleplay and more like an audio drama. Do you have any preference?

i would love to here side characters here and there.

Lamp

Fully trust your writing/editing, add as many as you’d like

Martin

I think go for it!

Jaydle

Realistically there’s no problem with side characters at all

Aaron

That sounds cool! An audio drama would be cool too!

I mean, why not ? Also : 🚪

I'm down with it if they only appear briefly. Unless it's a collab the focus should be on your voice, but adding other voices for plot and exposition shouldn't be too intrusive.

i’ve finally lived long enough to see the door say something that isn’t just 🚪 🥹

I guess I'd have to see how you approach it first but if you do it how you've done collaborations in the past I'd say it's probably a good idea.

Rasp

adding a couple female voices in doesn’t seem like a bad idea cause i think it would just add to the immersion

ChrisNoLastName

If you’re up for the challenge then I’d say go for it. Give it a try.

I don’t see any harm in it. Are they other creators too? Since I know you’ve been in some collabs before.

Aaron Price

👋 Yeah man been busy. Having a quiet Sunday evening, thought I'd drop in see how you guys are doing.

SlyStar64

I really don't mind them! I feel it makes the audio more vibrant. I love that!

TruBluLew

Your plot heavy audios are by far my favorite audios. If you can achieve this by adding more characters, by all means, go for it!

CoolKid

Try a couple side characters!

MistahCobblepot

Do whatever you want it'll be peak either way Glow!

it is awesome to see you exercise your creativity more

think it adds some immersive aspects and depth to break out of the 1:1 model. One of the things that was so great about the audio where the speaker lost her phone at a party and the listener found it when she called was how immersive that was. I could see the party as she walked through it. I think adding side characters would help tap into that and help a lot with immersion.

soph

as long as there’s no male voices i think they could be a nice addition

Adam T.

I think hearing those would be a fun surprise. Because I really enjoyed your previous collabs (like with Dreams of Peaches)

To me, there's no diffrence of how many voices are in an asmr video. If anything, it improves in the immersion of the audio itself since you actually feel like you're in there, like your previous collabs already shown.

At the end of the day, everyone can scroll through your audios and decide which one catches their eye for listening. So, maybe adding a little something to the title to highlight the presence of multiple characters would be more than enough. Of course, some people might not like it, but well, that's the whole point of making different types of content. It's normal for people to prefer some kinds of audios over others. Personally, I think it would add variety, and they'd be a nice change of pace from the usual.

TheWarrior

I'll listen to anything you post because your voice is just too good, but in this regard I love the idea of trying new things and having fun with it c: and your plot heavier audios have been some of my all time favorites.

Callan

I assuming you’re gonna get Endearin’ ASMR or someone else to do the other voices

BennyBongozzz

I’m tuning in no matter what🫶

Nam Bui

Worth trying. Results may surprise you one way or another. I'm curious to hear the first iteration.

Your scripts are always ‘tight’. Don’t hesitate trying anything new. You have the best scripts. Your voice acting is great. Books, screenplays, short stories, they are all waiting for you.

celly

I love the idea! I think it adds alot more immersion to the audios and also allows for a more expanded storytelling, like in the roadtrip one where the speaker is sitting on your lap wouldve been alot more fun if the driving had a voice and whatnot.

Travis

I think you’ve fully earned the creative freedom to play around with it and try out new things. You always do an amazing job regardless.

SlipXOXO

I think it’s a fun approach! Either way, your efforts and delivery is something a lot of us already appreciate, so don’t stress too much about it. I’m sure it will turn out great regardless of what you decide on.

adding more characters would be cool! there are few audios with other characters in it so it’d be cool to try something new. especially since this is ur passion, it seems like an exciting thing to do for a change :)

Aquium

something with a little more plot and the ability to have a part 2 or more is so cool in my opinion. it makes the audio feel more like a short story than the usual paragraph feel, if that makes sense lol. and if this means more collabs with Erin or someone else then I'm all for it!

Phil's Enjoyment

I think it would be interesting to see an audio with twins who are in love with the same guy lol

Brandon R

I've really enjoyed all of your audios, and I think adding a couple of voices would be awesome! Also giving the characters names makes it a more immersive experience, for me at least.

Marcus Grey

I only have ears for you! 😁 Seriously though: I do enjoy everything you do, but somehow the quality or the acting are usually not on par with yours, and I really do try not be be biased. That doesn't mean that your guests/collab partners aren't great. I just simply like you more.
