tl;dr - I've had to spend a couple of weeks getting a new PC up to speed, but I do have some stuff I'm working on for the next release.

I know I haven't given any previews so far this month. Well, there is a reason for that, and no it doesn't mean there'll be no release, but I think you'll understand when I explain.

I've got a new PC

Earlier this month my (now quite old) PC started getting a lot of blue screens. I decided it was finally time to bite the bullet and buy a new system, because it happened to be the end of the financial year here, a system I liked was on sale, and I could write it off on my taxes.

It's a very cool system, packing an RTX 5090, so it's extremely powerful, but I don't change to a new system lightly. The prices are very high right now (though I did get a decent price in relative terms) and maybe even worse, I knew that transitioning to a new system would mean a lot of work.

You see, in order to render the game's art and develop the game, I need a lot of software and a massive amount of assets set up, and it's quite tricky and time consuming to get it all in place. After being forced to make the switch over, I ended up having to spend a lot of time just getting things working. Also, normal Daz Studio doesn't work with the 50xx series cards yet, so I had to set up an unstable beta release of the next version of Daz, which also has some serious performance issues. Rendering is very fast thanks to the new card, but posing scenes can be sluggish and laggy (though I've figured out a slightly better way to manage that, at least).

New scenes

Fortunately, however, I've got stuff mostly set up and working now, along with heaps of other software I've needed, so I'm pretty much back on track. It might be a little while before I can comfortably pose a new animation, but still scenes are fine.

A couple of scenes I've been working on are featured in the images above. I'm hoping these will both be done for the next release, but I'll just have to see how it goes. One is the weed-smoking Mika scene that I teased some time back, as I had some more ideas of how to make that idea work. The other is a new Nobuko scene that triggers after a date with her if she's had sex with Hirai.

Like I say, I'm not sure yet whether either or both of these will be done in time for the next release, but I'll try.

4K images

Oh, and you might notice that these scenes aren't upscaled - they're all full 4K renders, since the new card renders so damn fast. I won't be able to change the resolution of the images in the game itself because that would almost require a full remake at this point, but I can at least show you some larger versions from time to time on here.

What do you think of the pictures/scene ideas? Are you annoyed that it's taken me so long to update you on all this? Let me know in the comments below!
