WOW! This red armour is AMAZING! I am definitely going to try and pull from this for the next batch of my bro's stormcast (he wanted them painted up like Blood angles). I also really appreciate using both NMM and TMM in your tutorials. I struggle with NMM especially if it isn't something that is pretty straightforward. So seeing examples of both is very helpful to me.

Thank you! The fluorescent colors really make it pop, especially irl. I'm glad you like the TMM stuff! I usually do NMM because I like the illustrative quality, and it gels really well with my painting style, but more and more, I've been coming to appreciate TMM. There's a few projects I have in mind where using metallic paints just makes more sense, so I've been trying to experiment more with them (check out the dwarf guide I just posted). And if you've got an Instagram, please tag me once you've painted up those Stormcast! I'd love to see them.

I like the ease of metallic paints but find they can pull me out of the illusion of a fully painted miniature. I think because it stands out from the rest of the painted figure. The way you've gone about it, it looks like it belongs. Unlike NMM where...I guess it's all the same type of paint. It just looks right. But I struggle with placement of highlights/shadows, so it looks wrong and detracts from the piece. I'm just going to prime some random bits and start following along to get more practice in. I'm now following you on Instagram and will definitely tag you when I post up some Stormcast following this tutorial.
