Forest was asked to the spell and go out on a date with Graham to make Brit jealous.

The pool last week was pretty definitive. So we will be introducing a monthly One-Shot in place of Captioned Images. But you may notice, this isn't being called a One-Shot this time. It has a name! I've known the name for a couple months, but I wanted to get this comic out before saying the name.

Forest was asked to the spell and go out on a date with Graham to make Brit jealous. How did Brit feel about that?

Thanks, felt it gave her a good contrast to Forest/Fern.

Typo I think: “Look I was able to leave I would” Is that supposed to be “if I was able to leave, I would” or “I was able to leave, i could”

Change heeer. But maybe into something more fun than a hamster. Maybe clothing. We need more mean spirited TFers.

roseleaf

I'll see if I can clear that up.

roseleaf

I'll see what I can do. There may be a TF shaped hole in a future script.

Mr. Domino

I'm gonna rant for a moment lol. But maybe if not mean-spirited, then at least vindictive. We, and I am guilty of this as well, tend to fall into making characters that have TF abilities but refuse to use them because of morals. I guess it's because we like seeing good people as protagonists and that we, ourselves are good people with good morals. But sometimes we just need to get rid of nasty people, or teach them a hard lesson that turns them into better people. Or just objects. Or other people mind and body entirely. Depends on the nasty level I suppose. But yeah, would love to see a character with TF powers just cut loose on someone who deserves it.

I get where you are coming from. "We" tend to be on the side of having our protagonists be on the receiving side of TF's. So, even they have powers, the powers back fire, or don't work quite in the way they would want them to. It's harder to have them as the TFer. It can happen, and it can work well. But it is trickier. Because of the dynamic with Forest and Brit, Forest can do a spell and still be the hero/protagonist. If Forest does it too often, she kind of stops being a protagonist and becomes a vessel for other characters to experience TFs, which isn't inherently a bad thing, but changes the narrative.

Mr. Domino

Another aspect is and I assume her spells are like this, but there's a timer so an Anonymous TF could work in terms of a lesson. I don't know how you do/if you do inanimate TFs, but good way for her to end up stuck as an sentient object for a month and as something that would force her to become a better person. I mean I'm just thinking out loud on general ideas, not trying say 'do this' or whatever.

roseleaf

As far as Brit, I more or less kind of know what would happen, if it happens. On the inanimate side, I have been reading more and more types of TF that I don't write/draw, and getting to a point where I'm willing to experiment with them. There are some that I really like. Some that I understand, but doesn't really do anything for me. Then some that I don't entirely get the 'why', and don't think I would do a good job at them.
