Happy Pride!

Also there is a lot going on right now, and so I wish you are all healthy and safe. Care about you all.

We are going to do the slower release again this month. Was working on the special bonus comic and I didn't realize how it would slow down my main pages. So will be every other day on page releases.

Not gonna lie, was wondering when that was gonna come up again :p

Martin Lock

Gwen seems no competition for you on the drawing front, so your job here seems safe. By the way, does the guy in the first panel mean "this book" or "these books"?

roseleaf

"This book." I caught something else and missed that.

roseleaf

Been in my head for a while. Just been waiting.

Mr. Domino

And there it is. Wonder who the new reality is going to shove into her place as the artist of the book?

Mr. Domino

I guess we'll see. I just feel bad for her at this point.

Outlaw Josey Wales

Couldn't she just say that she will learn to draw as good as Ken North? Then relearn to draw?

Halima Abdi

Well at this point the spell probably has locked her "I can't draw" trait in

Alex Smyth

Oh no. It's bad enough that nobody comes over to the table for the comic and come over instead to ogle her, but when somebody does come over, interested in the art of the comic, Ken/Gwen finds out her art skills are gone. Her means of artistic expression was taken away from her. That is so awful. I feel so sorry for Ken/Gwen. :(

Alex Smyth

I hope not it's not some guy with similar sounding name. I hope it's another Ken North, the same one like from the beginning of this comic. I rather the comic stay with Ken North, or at least another version of Ken North and that, in a way, "Ken North" doesn't disappear from existence. Actually, I rather Ken/Gwen find a way to fix what happen to her and become Kendra North or Gwen North, comic writer and artist, but I guess my other idea is the next best thing.

roseleaf

Based on the rules, it's possible for her to relearn. Just would take time and lot of practice.

roseleaf

Gwen is due for a win eventually

Alex Smyth

Agreed. Just not sure, given her circumstance, how that's going to happen.

Alex Smyth

I feel like the problem there is that trying to relearn could get frustrating for her and she might understandably give up. Also, some people might just not be able to draw, no matter how hard they try to learn because they just don't have that artistic skill or any artistic skill. I took an Intro to Painting class in college and my painting still looked like crap by the end of the semester and I only got a C- in that class, which the teacher only gave to me after I explained that I was just taking the class for the credits and I guess she took pity on me.

A lot of cosplayers build and create their stuff. Gwen's artistic expression may not be in figure drawing anymore, but there are other ways to be.

Alex Smyth

I know that cosplaying can be a form of artistic expression, but Ken/Gwen didn't choose to artistically express herself that way. She chose to artistically express herself by drawing and writing (I wonder if Ken/Gwen also said she can't write). So I wasn't saying she has no artistic expression. I was trying to say that the means she chose to artistically express herself were taken away from her. I'm just upset that Ken's/Gwen's free will has been taken away from her, including how she chooses to artistically express herself. I want to be a writer and if I lost any ability to be a writer and instead lived in a reality where I was known for being a cosplayer, that would really upset me.. I've got nothing against being a cosplayer, it's just that that's not what I wanted to artistically express myself and I had my heart set on being a writer. The means of how an artist chooses to express their self is very important to the artist. Especially when the artist will spend years crafting their art skills in the particular art form that they chose to pursue.
