EDIT: I did not get everything done leaving on a trip, as I had hoped. So Pages 90 & 91 will be delayed slightly. I'm going to update the content and calendar below.

Hey folks, I felt like doing to a little check in as we go into August. Nothing crazy going on, but just an opportunity to talk directly to you all.

Comment Section: I'm going to be at big convention this week, so I will not really be around with pages post. I always encourage questions, comments and discussion. I will just be very slow to respond to stuff later this week.

Post Times: Last few month I posted a bunch of things early or at midnight (Central Time). This month will be going back to posting new content at 9am CST as everything will be done ahead of time.

Delays: It was wishful thinking, but there will be a delay by a couple days for 90 & 91

Conventions: I'm starting to attend conventions again. I'll be attending as a fan at a big gaming con this month. Next month I'll be tabling once more. It's odd to be getting back out there. But it's nice to get out, travel and get some 3-way.  I don't expect next month's con to have any impact on the schedule.

Weight Loss: Exactly a year ago, I started a new weight loss journey. I'm happy to report that I lost 53.4 lbs. I'm still losing and hope to give a report at the end of the year, or maybe next year!

Page Count: There was a drop off of Patrons last month. Largely due to some bots getting purged. But none-the-less, it did temporarily set us back on our goals and pages counts. So this month Open Trade will be 5 pages. Con Artist Aftermath will be 1 page.

I wouldn't be shocked if Open Trade is back up to 6 pages next month. It is very very close to accomplishing the goal once more.

I think that covered everything I was looking to ramble about. If not I'll make some updates to this page.

Please leave any questions you have in the comments below!

Your weight loss is amazing ! May I ask how you've done it ? (I've lost about 30 pounds, but it took a couple of years of intermittent fasting and then a bout with Covid where I couldn't eat for a week lol)

30 lbs is still awesome!! I worked with the doctors office, mostly. They have a barometric program focused on weight loss. So I go in and weigh in and they have classes (that I don't attend) every week like a weight watchers, etc. I also get access to medical doctor, dietician, and behavioral therapist (never used) for quarterly meetings to check progress and assist. Make sure I'm not doing anything unsafe. I always felt like i had to do everything alone. I had hit a wall and gained a bunch during covid. I was very unhealthy. I wasn't moving. I caved to doc's suggestion for a medicinal option. He gave a weekly shot called Wegovy. I lucked out at the timing as it is currently difficult to get. It is highly effective. Made doing the suggested diet easier. I still have to do the work, it just reinforces it. I had a great first 6 months, but plateaued and lost focus. We did add a second med (mild anti depressant that also encourages weight loss) and got back on track. I've been pretty much against wanting meds for my personal journey as I figured if I can't establish the habits, when the meds are done I'll just regain. The meds just give a platform to create the healthy habits. You can go around the meds and eat trash and not gain any benefits from them. It only works if the person also does the work and keeps the diet and makes new healthy habits. But the meds have made that process so much easier.

Thanks for your reply, Roseleaf. You really have 'done the work' as you say and good for you ! I'd never heard of Wegovy but read up on it just now. I'm keeping it in mind if I ever shoot back up to my old weight (hopefully not, of course). :)

I had the benefit of good timing on Wegovy. I had requested a different med at the time, and they offered me the Wegovy instead. I will say this last week at GenCon the combo of meds did wonders keeping me on track when all my food options are food trucks. I hope you do well at maintaining and continuing the health journey!

Thanks! I've stalled a bit the last couple weeks but making progress once again.
