A 7 year difference isn't the most drastic, but doing some little things to age her down and maintain her trades. 

Meanwhile her education is in tact. She's not the only 18 year old in this world with a degree. 

In-world rules keep her from being any younger. No one under 18 is allowed to make a trade on the market. There are exceptions for minors to use nanobots for medical issues with parental consent. But with trades largely viewed as 'elective' they are limited to 18 and above.

It was largely based on how I set the rules for how the trades work. You have to trade the quality that you have. So it would have the actual age, and not just a number of years. Likewise if it was weight, it would be trading the current weight of each person and not a few pounds. The idea of just trading x-number of years came up early, but it could quickly result in someone ending up under age. He could have found someone who was 21 years old to trade with. Made some money. But he'd never get those years back. Trading with Steph is free and temporary, so it's a better deal for some drinking fun today, and bouncing back to he younger years when the trade is done in a year.

Wait did the trade already happen? I am just having a bit of a hard time seeing a difference. Or since she already has a bunch of psychical changes that still apply does this more so effect mental process, like being less mature?

Since this trade is happening so late, it doesn't have the most profound physical or mental impact. Her past two trades also made her appear immature as well. There are some mental side effects. Mostly I'm calling this more of a social impact. How people view and treat her will be the most obvious change. But the other stuff is there.
