Stephanie answers more questions while getting poked with a needle.

Next page will be page 200! It's been a LOT of pages. Next Open Trade page will also not be up until Feb 5th. Next two weeks will be Dress to Thrill. Basically keepinng Open Trade for the first 3 weeks of each month, the remaining weeks going to the back up story.

EDIT: The page was missing for a while. I was mid-update and the internet crapped out. All better now.

Mad props to Isabelle for helping Lexi get caught up in the conversation. That’s the act of a true friend. And Lexi’s “oh”? Perfection. 10 out of 10. No notes.

So, this actually the first time the name Wyatt has popped up in a long time, at least a year's worth of pages. And the last time Stephanie went by that name was page 46. So Stephanie Hwang has been Stephanie Hwang for more than 3/4s of this entire comic, so far!

I wasnt going to name drop him, but the more I thought about it, my mental image never feels like it caught up with who I am now (trans stuff aside). Made more sense that she would routinely forget how tall she is or how big her breasts and hips are. So 'Wyatt' was the best way to refer to that. Also his image showed up on the Instagram page. :)

When one of those come across the plate, you just have to swing for the home run. That being said, Lexi might be prompted to do her own research, you know, to see if her and Steph achieved the same conclusion, for science.

I almost wish I could ask a follow-up question, "does it feel weird or strange thinking of yourself as Wyatt, vs Stephanie?" Really dig into what she thinks of the person she's lived as for 25 years, versus the woman she's been for the past 2 months.

I'm 100% sure we'll do a second round of Q&A sometime soonish. It's a good question.

Heck based on Mae and Elli from the show we did, not everybody deadnames their old name. Elli definitely did, but Mae has stated she isn't bothered by being called Greg.

Every definitely has a different relationship with that stuff. And the same goes for Steph. She's not trying to bury Wyatt, but it makes life easier to say she's Stephanie.

It’s funny that Lexi is now the one missing sexual references! Also I’m glad my question got in too.

Rockhopper

I t’s kind of a four-way code-switch for Stephanie. There’s that part of her that was Wyatt and white for a long time and now the Stephanie and Korean part of her. It’s a fascinating psychological study.

roseleaf

There were a lot of fun questions. Tried to get in as many people as I could.

It is probably an area that I need to continue to revisit regularly. There are likely routine situations where Steph would hit resistance that she isn't used to. Or people treating her differently and not realize why immediately. I don't see that surprise or frustration going away anytime soon.

Rockhopper

But don’t always think of it as being oppositional, there still is collaborative integration. Steph and Wyatt might have the same favorite food or be ticklish in the same spot or have the same “feels” at their favorite movie.

Rag345

It's fascinating how she spoke of "Wyatt" in the third person. But I am curious if they feel like separate or similar people maybe merging into one. Also wondering how different things would have been if she spent a lot more time as a white lady before becoming Asian?

Rag345

Surprised she was only a white lady in 3 days time according to the comic. I wasn't there when I found this comic but it does make me wonder what she would have looked like now if she hadn't done that race/ethnicity swap trade? And how much of her race trade affects the choices she makes about herself?
