Planning ahead for when the Lonely Alchemist short comic ends, I wondered if you actually liked the vertical comic format I've been using for those short comics for a while.

The first two nights of Moonshadow Memoirs and the Lonely Alchemist comics have used the vertical format. But the next comic could return to the usual magazine style format type of page I use for Bethellium and Moonlace if you prefer it.

Pros of the vertical format is that it usually includes more panels than a magazine comic page, but its cons are that the page is not as visually appealing as a regular comic page and it's also not print-friendly.

If you need examples of both, Magazine format is like this:

And the vertical format is like this:

So what do you think? Do you prefer the regular magazine format or the "scroll-down" vertical format for the next short comic? Let me know what do you think?

I would personally prefer print-friendly formats :3

I like both formats, but since the adult comics are Patreon-exclusive, I feel the vertical strip format would be more helpful with catching any leakers. Unless you plan on eventually adapting them to print in the first place?

I generally read the strips on the computer, so vertical is OK by me.

I like magazine style more. Sure you can get more panels in vertical, but having to zoom in on everything on the computer to see anything is annoying. I would perhaps suggest if you do vertical, could you save some of the more nsfw panels separately as standalone pics to go with the comic page?

Vertical has my vote though it seems to be the less popular opinion. XD

absolutely the magazine style like i actually very much HATE the "vertical style" it actively makes me NOT want to read it id honestly rather have a widescreen magazine style something that would fit 16: 9normal monitor resolution. but i understand that would be hard for physical prints vertical is the absolute worst

Honestly, whichever best suits the story being told. Comics can be a pain to map out what you want to show/tell, and the format can sometimes be restrictive.

I prefer the magazine style. Vertical style tends to have too much going on. Also vertical style means more scrolling just to view one page, which is annoying. Magazine style is more print friendly.
