Jackary Archives Day 181: Lyn's Tifa Cosplay (2019) (Patreon)

Hey everyone, again, sorry Archives posts have been slow this month x_x

But for today, we have a 2019 piece of Lyn from Fire Emblem, dressed as Tifa from Final Fantasy VII!

Unfortunately, no NSFW variants for this piece, as this was before I started drawing the l00ds, but I hope there are some people who may appreciate this seldomly-reposted piece!

ARTIST NOTES

This is from 2019, which is famously my "style purgatory" year where I was growing into my current style but not quite there yet, and I had a really hard time nailing anime faces.

But that being said, I really like this piece! I think it turned out quite nicely, and I was always surprised how little it resonated with people. Lyn x Tifa is a little bit of an unconventional combination, but they're both widely popular characters nonetheless, so I thought this one would make a little more of a splash when I originally dropped it LOL

But I like the rendering! It's not as smooth as my rendering is now, but I think there's something to be said about a style where you can clearly see those brush strokes.

My last takeaway from this piece is that I still haven't drawn a single picture of Lyn ever since I "figured out" my art style and I feel like she's really overdue for a current-era jackary drawing >:|
