In the original Season 2, Wendy and Dipper encountered the Shape Shifter—a creature capable of transforming into any form—in the ruins of the laboratory. After a fierce struggle, they managed to lock the Shape Shifter inside a cryogenic pod. Now, many years later, Dipper—now in college and long out of touch—suddenly shows up at Wendy’s door.
