One of my favorite movies of all time!

Another Christopher Nolan movie you should check out is The Prestige (2006) starring Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson and Michael Caine

This is one of those rare movies where you need to look at the behind the scenes stuff, it's one of the most technically impressive movies ever made. Almost all of the physics is based on real theory and there's even a book written by Kip Thorne called "The Science of Interstellar" - you might notice the dismantled robot on the snow planet was named after him, he is a highly regarded theoretical physicist and was the science consultant on this movie. Nolan made sure the entire movie was based around real science. Another fun fact is that this movie came out a few years before the first picture of a black hole was taken and it turns out the movie got it spot on and looked very similar, which proved the science they used was accurate, the real photo was taken thanks to the Event Horizon Telescope array which is actually a collection of 9 separate telescopes located around the world that worked together to capture the image, that's how the real image of a black hole was captured. Every galaxy has a supermassive black hole at its centre, there are currently 2 different photographs and those are of the supermassive black hole for the Milky Way galaxy named "Sagittarius A", and the supermassive black hole of galaxy Messier 87 named "Pōwehi". I don't think any movie has really ever done anything like that, it literally predicted almost exactly what black holes look like years before we ever saw an image of one.

If you ladies want to check out more 80s classic movies, (I'm not saying Interstellar is from the 80s, I know that) I really hope you will react to Big Trouble in Little China (1986). That is one of the classic '80s gems of movies ever made. Highly Recommend. :)

Great Movie !! Thank You Magy & Laura. I Recommand for You « Big Fish » directed by Tim Burton ( Charlie & The Chocolate Factory) it’s so good :D

Fun fact: On the water planet we hear a ticking sound at one point with the music. Each tick indicates a day passing on Earth.

Please please please watch "The Place Beyond The Pines" (Ryan Gosling) You guys will definitely cry watching it 😆

Phillip Bates

You are too clever, Laura, guessing correctly about Murph's "ghost". I always enjoy both of your comments after the films, and this one was no exception. Very insightful and your reactions were great, as always!

Only thing better than this movie, was this reaction! You girls are the best..amazing amazing, every second. Loved it! Thank you so much 😊

Evan White

The interviews of the older folks describing how hard life was were taken from a documentary called The Dust Bowl. Other than the old Murph actor, those were people who actually lived through the Dust Bowl during the mid 1930s in my home state of Oklahoma. The weather is still crazy here 😁

SWEET! I hadn't realized this is Magy's first time reacting to it too. I figured she would've already seen it while reacting on her own years ago. This film is one of my favorites to see how it affects people.

YodatheHobbit

Magy said she realized they love space movies. If someone in the Dimond Tier wants to request Sunshine(2007), I would be so happy, lol
