I just finished this entire series with my Dad, and OMG! the 9th and 10th episode broke me so damn much with emotions. No spoilers, but when Magy and Laura reach those episodes, they are gonna feel the same thing. And now, here I am, experiencing your journey through this series. XOXO to you both! :D :D :D

so the scene that got cut with Malarkey talking to the german soldier really happened, EXCEPT that they worked across the street from each other in Astoria, NOT 100 miles away from one another. The producers felt like no one would believe the truth. Harry, the protocol during the first 72 hours for the allied forces was to NOT take prisoners. Pvt Hall died from a defensive landmine. The idea is that there's a part of the floor that is safe and the defenders know where to walk but an enemy who isn't expecting landmines in that area could easily all prey to one. The Distinguished Service Cross that Winters was awarded for the Brecourt assault is the second highest award the us army has to offer, right behind the Medal of Honor.

Damian Lewis, the British Actor that played Richard Winters was Drunk and hung over when he audition for the part. He was hired. Damian spoke perfect American English Accent and everyone else thought he was American actor. Nobody believes he was British. Over 90% of the actors are British in Band of Brothers. They all went through real Military Training. They all carried full weight of equipments on them. All the Actors stay in Characters even when they are not filming. Lieutenant Colonel Sinks AKA Captain Dale Dyie was a real Marines in the Vietnam War and he trained all the Actors in Weapons and Military tactics.
