Hey all -- these are from the LIVE. Men in Black was my first hit in a while, so as an experiment for growth, I'd love to tackle at least MIB II. And for the first time, we'll be doing some pride-related stuff! 👍

Trying to mix action, with criers, and comedies

American Pie 2

Philadelphia

The Birdcage

MIB II

Heat

The Color Purple

The Fugitive

There's always so much to prioritize! Chat with me about finishing the Men in Black movies, the Ocean's films, and what's next for American Pie and the View Askewniverse.

We have so many balls in the air I can't tell if I should tie up some franchises before starting new ones?! 😂

You can move the Oceans sequels way down the list. 2 isn't great, 3 is an improvement, but the first one is where most of the views will come from and... they didn't.

Paul Cox

I wouldn't bother with the MIB sequels either, but do MIB 2 if you feel like it.

Couple of high traffic (strike while the iron is hot) ideas: True Lies: I don't love it. Aside from Avatar, it's the worst thing James Cameron ever made, but for some reason everyone LOVES it. Tombstone: It's a modern western that people who don't love westerns, and people who do, love equally. (And I think it's Val Kilmer's best performance.)

Adam Doyle

I highly recommend watching the rest of the "main" American Pie Movies: American Pie, American Pie 2, American Wedding, and American Reunion, all are great. There are a number of direct-to-video terrible spinoffs that use the "American Pie Presents" title. You can skip all of those.

Adam Doyle

Philadelphia and Birdcage are good Pride movies, one drama, and one comedy. Great action with Heat and thrills with the Fugitive. Get the tissues ready for Color Purple, a good Juneteenth watch.

Bill W

Heat and The Fugitive should do well.

Adam Doyle

You can probably pass on MIB3 (though it had some nice moments) and MIB: International... terrible

Jason McNeil

Definitely do MIB3. Also, please do The Birdcage. Its theme is still relevant 25+ years later.

OMG! I am bring the Heat hype! This is one I can’t wait for. It is time for a rewatch on my end.

i liked MIB2. i only saw the third one once but i remember it being alright. American Wedding is the best in the franchise imo, cant wait for that one. i didnt like American Reunion as much, i could leave that one on the table. Anxiously awaiting Clerks II. it is one of my favorites!!!

Joe Blankenship

I'd swap Men in Black 2 for Clerks 2. Rosario Dawson is in both. And Heat! I haven't seen that in forever. The Fugitive is great too. Those are 2 movies that people couldn't believe that I hadn't seen, back in my 20s.

I caught Jersey Girl a long long time ago. I remember almost nothing, but it seems SO PG no? Like almost a kid's movie

1. I'm glad you've already seen it so it's off the list. 2. I'm even more glad you hate it. Tombstone is A+ in every regard: casting, writing, acting, cinematography. It's the whole package.

Bob Hanflig

You need to watch Clerks 2 Reboot and Clerks 3. Besides being very funny they all will give you the feels. They sort of make up their own trilogy.

Shawn Goforth

Thanks, Paul. I've been pushing for Tombstone lately also. One of my all-time favorites.

Dee Aitch

I like you being all over the place. Would way prefer Heat over, say, MiB which is just popcorn movie stuff IMO.

Until this message I'd never have thought it possible to hate True Lies. It takes all kinds to make the world go round.

Justin Keith

Don't waste your time with MIB 2. It was a rushed money grab. They took more time with # 3.

Mike Fox

I think you'll find The Birdcage a refreshing bit of levity after recent entries. It's smart and light but with some panache only that cast can pull off.

Travis Nickerson

The movie I would like to see you react to is Going In Style with Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Alan Arkin, and Ann Margret. Just a good movie. I think you would enjoy it.
