I was wondering if the town's setting would show up in the trivia. The town name itself is Beacontown. It's printed on the hardware store van, the players' warm up sweats, and the banners hung in the gym. I was guessing Nebraska for the state, only because there is a University of Nebraska banner hanging in Scott's kitchen. Chubbie comes back in the sequel opposite Jason Bateman, and boxing takes the place of basketball. That one is terrible. Thanks again for this one! I was hoping you would get to it one day.

Senior year my little high school basketball team did something we never dreamed and went to State. We won. Even as someone who doesn't follow the sport, it was an amazing moment. At the time this came out, I was just a kid - I wasn't even close to high school - so the message (and the cheese) didn't get laced with any realist cynicism that sometimes finds you later in life. On that note, Shanelle, there's an interesting parallel between the idea of a superhero, or a werewolf, and real life alter ego. If you get the chance, listen to NPR's This American Life, show 506, aptly named "Secret Identity". You can easily find it online with a quick Google search. The stories, as is typical for this show, are great. Lastly, I think I need to expand my music collection a bit. I know everyone thinks their decade is the best, but damn if the 80's weren't just full of awesome tunes, freaky, a little weird, and positive without being overly g-rated.... well sometimes...

Nice pick up in the Halloween feel on the walk and talk. It felt like Halloween because it was the same street in South Pasadena as the Halloween “hedge shot” walk and talk with Laurie Strode and her friend. Both Teen Wolf and Halloween were both just about fully shot in South Pasadena. *Update: I commented in real time as I was watching … I just got to the part where you made the So Pas connection. Also, how Steve Jobs was the drama teacher? Spitting image of 80’s Jobs. 🍎

As I understand it, this one was shot and completed some time before "Back To The Future", and the studio made the decision to hold the release back until "Back To The Future" was released, which drastically increased interest in this movie to the extent it ended up number 2 behind "Back To The Future" in its opening week.

You asked if it's illegal to have a wolf on the team. Well, I'm sure it's like Air Bud, the rules didn't say you can't have a dog on the team.
