Hi everyone!

Here are the linearts from the preview!

I tried using greys as every other artist does nowadays but I quit midway the first issue. Too much work and I don't think it's necessary with the colors afterwards...

Coming out in December.

Same! I don’t know where some artists get the time to do tones - I wish I had the time!

Thank you for sharing that, I see fantastic artist that use grey tones like Jorge Jimenez, and I feel like I need to do that too. But when everything is colored, it feels like all that work was kinda pointless.

How do you keep from repeating panel layouts or character poses throughout a book? especially with deadlines, it feels like you don’t always have time to experiment with anything and you just have to get the information on the page and that’s it.

Hmm it's tricky, the same poses come to mind every time. The only thing that works for me is trying different angles and not looking at previous poses and praying they come out different haha. But you definitely have to make a conscious effort not to do the same thing over and over.

Yeah, I think it's pointless. Unless it makes sense, like in this one-shot page with Venom, it makes sense to color the sky and Venom to make the sun and the lens flare pop in white. Otherwise, I felt like I was doing the flat for the colorist for no reason.
