Why These Rapunzel Songs Were DOOMED To Fail [Tangled]

Tangled went through a rocky development, the story of the movie changing multiple times before we got the version we all know and love. This led to multiple versions of Rapunzel's "I Want" song - and today Calxiyn is going to dive into what doomed these demo songs from being fully realized. This Video Essay will break down the similarities and differences of the demos so we can study what mistakes they made during development, and what they kept to polish into perfection. All storytellers will want to pay close attention to the critical mistake both of these songs make, and how it was fixed for the final version.
