Railroad Nationalization Video Update: The Fantasy Railroad (Patreon)
Content
Hey everyone!
Behind the scenes we've been busy writing and working on material for the next big Nationalization video project. Over the summer I've been working with Interurban Era (aka Miles) on the graphic design and models for showing off the concept of a new country wide Nationalized Railroad. We've been workshoping some names and logos, so far we're decently happy with what we've come up with; "Transcon" (aka TransContinental).
We're still tweaking logos and "marketing material" for this fantasy railroad, but our goal is to create something that feels like it could actually exist in our real future, not just a leftist campaign or white paper write-up.
Speaking of, I was originally planning this as a partnered project with Railroad Workers United, as they have recently published some white papers and campaigns about Re-Nationalization and why it would be beneficial to everyone. Unfortunately because of creative disagreements and how the video would be managed, I have to admit that we're no longer co-working on the video together with them. Even if the video project won't be co-managed by them, I am still glad to be friends with them and that I'm able to use the great white papers that they have published as references. I still intend to link to their campaign and support them as much as possible, but just know that this project is 100% all managed by us now.
Knowing that piece of information, I want all of my patron's to know that your support over this last year has been critical to keep this project afloat. Not only have I been able to support Miles and his modeling talents for this project, but I'm also bringing on another landscape/sketch artist to help with promotional material, scenes and fun "loading screens" in the video.
I can't wait to show you guys more pics, scenes, and script ideas for this project. I'm genuinely excited to put this all together, and I hope that have the majority (of what I expect to be a 40-60min video) done by Spring next year. Lets get it done.
Thanks again for all of your help,
Alan
