What did you guys think of the final choice in drone?

If you could have chosen any drone design that wouldn't have been utterly story-breaking, what would YOU have chosen?

The YVH 1, or Yuuzhan Vong Hunter One combat droid

Honestly I like the design as it is....but mini gundam lol

I probably would of went with a more conventional design. Something based on a real world design. Like the OV-10 Bronco but modified for 24th century tech of course.

I think you're going to like the next universe I visit, and it's only for one specific thing. That's all I will say! :-P

I'm glad you like it! I looked over dozens of designs and this one really called to me. The version that Gothic will use for himself will be even more epic, as he's not going to need to create them by the thousands.

I think that's kind of what I did. 24th century tech makes wings and all the pieces and parts of drone plane obsolete, same with the weapons on board.

It wouldn't be an exact copy, it would only be based on it. You're right about the wings not being needed. I would of knocked off the twin booms and shortened the wing span. The wings may not be needed but I would of used them for hard points to hold weapon pods. That way the weapons loadout could be tailored to the mission. I would also keep the cargo compartment so it could be used for resupply in areas where transporters are a no-go.

For Gothic's drone, I have some thoughts already. (1) Use a Collector style power cell (2) transport buffer for non-replicable munitions, or cargo, or organic capture (3) microreplicator to produce munitions or other items.

That definitely sounds impressive. The limiting factor will be the power cell. Gothic doesn't have to many of those. It might make replacing it if it is destroyed somehow difficult.
