Every Bajoran I saw on the streets was busy with something related to the rebuilding; it actually reminded me of famous scenes and photos I had seen of people working to rebuild their homes in Berlin and throughout Europe after World War 2, grimly and full of determination picking up the pieces of their ruined cities and lives, starting over. It was inspiring to see it happen here around me. Stuff like this was why I had fought in the Resistance. Like on the station, the Cardassians had not been kind in their withdrawal from the planet.
