Question about google drive (Patreon)

Some people recently approached me and complained about google drive download issue where google will block them from downloading because of a public quota where if reached then noone can download a specific file for 24hrs. So I want to know if other people are experiencing the same issues aswell.

Honestly I really cant do anything with it since its google that enforcing it so the only solution is to change a cloud service

I pay for google drive storage annually so I still want to use it but if the issues are too annoying for you guys then i can maybe change to Mega and buy more storage there.

It's certainly not an everyone problem. I recently downloaded like all of your stuff and had no issues (including the big VR stuff). I dont even have a VPN.

I’ve had issues for sure before but usually I’d get on my computer and do it and it’d work fine

I have had this before, especially with mega but I would recommend they try with vpn if they have one. Also, might be worth asking if they are doing it anonymously or while logged into a Google account. As SWE it also could be region based restrictions, but not a lot anyone could do about those

No problems with viewing a video directly from google drive. I dont know about download. I never really download stuff xP

Dont do mega, they limit the daily download for users without package

Google download issue is common but just wait a day or two and it's fine, don't feel any immediate need to download

Honestly, I was so impressed with how convenient your archive was compared to mega, I told my discord server all about it. It was never a problem for me and I have no idea whatmight be happening to others.

Mega has its own issues, including a complete deletion of all of an artists work out of the sudden. Saw this happen to other people, so better don't switch to Mega.

I have problems downloading, even after waiting a few days. but I can download all and it'll just work lol it sucks to have to redownload things I already have but that's what worked for me also, im not logged in to Google so maybe it's a guest problem?

Its a google made problem. When enough people have downloaded a specific file, Google will block it for 24hrs.

I have had that issue you describe, but I switched to a different google account and it downloaded fine.

Since I reached out to you about this issue i think its worth to clarify one thing. I did use guest mode (no g account) and it seems to happen predominantly with the 4k/VR archives. The standard clips are mostly fine.

never had that issue, ngl i prefer it over mega. Though pro tip for you guys. If you wanna bypass the quota on mega, just use a vpn and refresh the page

It seemed so because I wasn't logged in. When I was logged in, it worked just fine and the error went away.
