He was a full head taller than her before, and is now at least half a head shorter than her. Assuming that she is a typical one hundred and sixty-odd centimeters tall, that puts his old height at 185 cm or so, and his new height around 150 cm or a little less, so he has shrunk by something like 35-40 cm.

5’5” would be about her height. His new height would be a little under five feet. Remember that Koreans tend to be 2-4 inches shorter than Americans on average.
