NOW... uncanny valley time.

"The uncanny valley is a term used to describe the relationship between the human-like appearance of a robotic object and the emotional response it evokes. In this phenomenon, people feel a sense of unease or even revulsion in response to humanoid robots that are highly realistic."

This is the nightmare of any 3d artists that doesn't use stylised characters (overwatch, Frozen etc).

I know I am not going to get 100% accuracy but more to the point is this character okay?

It just looks super weird. I’m sure you could do great things with it, but the whole look gives me the weirds

Some people it won't bother but I know this is a huge problem with certain DAZ characters (which she is based off). but you are quite right it's not going to please everyone but if a good chunk of people are okay with her then its green to go.

i put a real life still of her next to it and the nose seems upturned just a little too much and the nostrils dont seem quite wide enough. But thats just me im still new to all this.

Agree with comment above, nose is slightly upturned. And the complexion seems just to light compared to her photos.

Personally I'm not for it. That's more because I'm not a fan of animated/drawn porn using real people for the character. Like, Black Widow in general is fine but while it's not using SJ as the base. That being said, I think it looks great as a 3D model. Good work!

She looks great, but I'm one of those mentioned that's here for the stylized toons. Don't know why, but that's just my thing..

Not so much direct comparison im after as I will spend a month getting 5% better but yes I agree and the same can be said for Elsa and other characters too. what I am more interested in is the gut feeling. if you look and go "yeah thats cool" then great, but if its a "BURN IT WITH FIRE, it makes my brain melt with some devilish tricks" then there is something wrong.

there is a slight uncanny valley effect but there also seems to be some off with her nose.

I like it, but yeah, it's a bit odd. Not really uncanny valley, it's obviously a stylized character not a photo-realistic version, but I guess it's ultimately the same idea. It kind of looks like ScarJo and it kind of doesn't. Of course, Black Widow doesn't need to look like any actual person at all since she's been around for many years in the comics, but for the MCU version I can understand why this image makes sense. So I would say you might want to make her look either more like ScarJo or less (more cartoony).

definitely not "BURN IT WITH FIRE" feeling, it does have an off look, but its more like if your lookin at a sculpture and know its got a small bit of stone that needs smoothing or one little bit to chisel off, and then it turns into a masterpiece

Comparing to photos, nose should be shorter and more upturned, cheekbones slightly higher and wider, less space between the top of the eye and the brow. As a stand alone character, she looks great as is.

I personally think it looks really good so far. But I think if you want a true Uncanny Valley test you wanna use a bunch of expressions to get a good feel for it. Basic ones and then the lewd ones.

Its the nose for me too. Perhaps too narrow and pointed up. Looks really close though. Like as if one more thing can get polished and then booom. Honestly, the nose thing might go away once a dick is in her mouth. Lmao Edit: I second that the smile needs to connect with the eyes after another look.

I think she looks fantastic, maybe try whatever tweaks you feel but honestly I’ll be fine with whatever you believe is your best finished product, I’ve yet to see any of your works and say “that doesn’t look absolutely amazing”😍

Voted "something's off", maybe it's the lighting, but the nose seems too straight/flat. Maybe if the nasion was a bit deeper, it would do the trick. Or if it was narrower.

I think the facial features look good, the one thing I would change is how shiney her skin and hair are. Her face looks like porcellan and her hair looks greasy. Question: are her eyebrows skintexure or 3D object?
