Thanks for uploading bestie! I’m so glad you got to finally watch these videos, they’re so special. I love how the members all have unique and special relationships with each other. With Namjoon and Jimin, there’s such a deep trust and affection there. Jimin is so emotionally intelligent and I think our big brained boy really responds to that. The ‘music credits’ conversation is really interesting. I think Bangtan’s deep involvement in their own music has been a source of pride for Army over the years and rightfully so - but I think some have also used it or clung to it in a way that is limiting and detrimental to the members’ individual growth. Not all artists write all their own music and it doesn’t make it any less theirs. Especially for Bangtan, we see how involved they are with the creative process of their work and that’s not always reflected in the official ‘credits’. The way I have seen some Army talk about it can be really disrespectful, especially when the members have spoken about how draining creating can be, how they want to hear different perspectives and voices and try new ways of working, or perhaps focus on a different aspect for a particular project, such as performance. Joon spoke about it here and in the documentary, Jin, Hobi and JK have spoken about it in interviews, Tae on Suchwita, Jimin in his documentary… songwriting isn’t always a natural or easy skill. Even with someone like Yoongi who finds such fulfilment in it, he had said it can take a lot out of him. The vocal line have said this quite a bit, like why would I always put all this pressure on myself when I’m not enjoying it? They all want to tell their stories but there are different ways and seasons they may do that. Wow that was a rambly comment lol. Anyway welcome back Esosa!
