Glad to see you're doing well šŸ’—

Again, related to the topic, if anyone wants to support people going through these or related issues, donating sanitary supplies and contraception to your local homeless organisations and local health clinics is a great way. Or you can spread awareness and donate to a global cause such as Pathfinder.org

So proud of you for speaking about your experience. Sending so much love to you, sorry I had to leave early, I had to drive to work . 🩷

hi, Ɩzlem, thank you so much for taking time out and deciding to share this with us, i understand and empathize with your struggles and also the difficulty in sharing something personal to you. i am so glad that you made things clear (i love how you Know you don't anyone any explanations !) however i hope that you feel better after this conversation as well. i can only imagine how hard and painful it must've been, i have witnessed these processes with my sister who has the same diagnosis, so i am sending you all my love and strength. also heavy on the your period should Not be painful to these degrees !! people are so quick to dismiss young girls and people who get painful periods, like no omfg get yourself checked !!! and yes omfg, talking about reproductive health, esp female reproductive health, in certain societies is so taboo lke its crazy ! i get so offended when people say shit like this because please Grow Up. like we're all adults here (even tho imo children should also be getting adequate sex education !) like its so fucked up ! coming from a conversative, muslim society, its so common to hide anything and everything related to periods and anything 'taboo' it makes me so mad like please lets act like adults, goodness. also please don't even worry about everything on here, even if you pop in whenever you feel like it for tiny videos or messages, just to let us know that you feel okay, that'd be amazing ! your health and safety comes first, and ofc big, big, big, shoutout to esosa for holding down the fort here like the amazing woman she is, we're all so grateful and in awe of you both !! aaahhh, im so sad i missed the livestream but thank you again, love you both so much eeee <3333

Health is more important than anything, you don't need to be embarrassed or ashamed while telling. Every woman has similar health problems. It is very important that you told us. Especially to young people. I also suffered from very severe pain for 2 years as you described. I had polyps and myomas. My diagnosis was polycystic ovary syndrome. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Thank you for sharing and letting us know how you were when you didn’t have to. And you spoke nothing but facts about healthcare and women’s health the whole time 20.55 yeah we already have the system and most everything else against us we gotta make sure we look out for each other 23.45 The mentality of ā€œperiods are a girl thingā€ that we all grow up with is stupid. I don’t blame my Mama at all cause it was how she was raised too and she was dealing with a lot of other shit, but when I got old enough to understand that was messed up, I said fuck it and I never ever sugar coat when I’m around my brothers. They have or want wives and children. They need to know and understand what it is, and how to help or at least have empathy. And it’s not even fault to my brothers either, they also were raised that way, and luckily they don’t respond negatively to me in this instance 26.40 and being gaslit into thinking that our pain is invalid or not ā€œenoughā€ to warrant in depth treatment. No pain should be acceptable, doesn’t matter if it’s big or small. 38.40 these people do it for money. I lived in a rural area my whole life until recently and most doctors were only there as a step up to bigger hospitals in larger cities that paid more, so they didn’t actually try except for the bare minimum to keep their job. I went in with my OWN medical diagnosis (from my very limited knowledge and medical education so it was basically nothing) and I even had a female doctor and I still was not given the complete check up that you’re supposed to have when you go in 45.00 WHAT THE FUCK???? Promising future?… young and talented??.. what about the person who got attacked? What about their future and how important their life is?… I’m so sick of this shit 58.40 girl louder yes I’m 2 for 2 now in less than 24 hours of missing lives nooo. First 3racha and now you as well, and this one was so important. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to make it for the actual live, my phone stays on silent during the workday so I have to manually check notifications and I didn’t see this one until it was too late🄺 I will work harder to show up and support you (and Differently Alike overall of course) better in the future, but know I’m thinking about you both since it’s all gotta be so stressful and hard to deal with. Don’t worry about ā€œlack of usual contentā€, you are supposed to focus on recovery, and we just want you to feel better. Health is most important, for both of you, so please don’t stress. Big hug to you and everyone who shared in chat, and rest wellšŸ–¤

hi aphrodite, thank you so much for this heartwarming and comforting message. it really is difficult to break a cycle of generational ā€˜taboo’ surrounding things that are actually so important to talk about but we’re all working on it step by step! Here’s to all the people that feel embarassed or like they can’t talk about their health problems. This is a no judgement zone. I hope everyone knows we are here to listen and support each other. And our amazing queeen Esosa, she really held it down. Love her so much šŸ’•

Thank you for this message, ER. And big big yes on speaking about these things more! I agree with you, I’m starting to implement it more ib my life as well. We shouldn’t feel ashamed. Did you get the polyps and myomas treated or removed? How are you doing? Are you recovering? 🄺

Wow thank you so much for taking the time and watching the whole thing, even time stamping and highlighting the different topics. I love that we get to have conversations like this. it’s amazing that your family is so acceptive of it, as it should be bc it’s something so so normal! These conversations are needed, like you said if you want a wife or want to have children you need to know what goes on in a woman’s body! The world is a scary place but justice will hopefully prevail… I hate that we always have to riot for the right things but if we dont, nothing will change. Again thank you for the sweet sweet words and reassurance. It means a lot šŸ’•

I’m taking the win with my fam where I can😹 I also love that we can have conversations like today, makes it seem a tiny bit less scary and isolating. Change begins with one person, so we gotta kick ass when we can no matter where we arešŸ’ŖšŸ–¤

I said goodbye to my polyps and myomas in 2020. Yes, they were removed, fortunately, they have not recurred so far. But I noticed that if I get cold feet, even a little bit, I feel pain around my ovary on the left side. Despite this, I look clean on check-ups and try to live a healthy and active life as much as I can. A small note: you should go to 2 or 3 different doctors and consult with them on such essential diagnoses. If you are over 25-30 years old, definitely follow the changes in your body, observe the signs your body gives and take action. Early diagnosis is very, very important. We women are strong, I'm proud of all of us🄺🄰

Hi Ɩzlem, it is so good to see you and thank you for taking the time to chat with us and for your bravery and honesty in sharing such personal information. Even though it should be normalised, it is not an easy thing to talk about, much less on the internet. When I was younger, I had multiple ovarian cysts (all benign thankfully) and ended up having to have surgery twice - including once when I ended up in emergency surgery that took six weeks to recover from. I sometimes think maybe some of that could have been avoided if I hadn't ignored the pain and discomfort that women are conditioned to think are normal. Pain is not normal! Even in a relatively open and modern society like Australia, there is a stigma and also a real lack of investment in resources and research regarding women's health when compared to men's. Please know you have a community here who are in your corner, supporting you and cheering you on, whether that's with taking the time and space to focus on your health and wellbeing - or being available to scream about kpop whenever you need :-) Sending all the love and good vibes to you and Esosa <3

Oh how we missed your gorgeous smile! Sad I missed the live, but thank you for posting so we could see you šŸ’— You are right that you didn't owe us an explanation but talking openly can be so important, so thank you for trusting us! Wishing you the best possible care!!

Thank you for sharing your personal story. I saw your nervousness lessen as time went by so I'm glad the chat became a safe place for you. And if you inspire even one woman to get checked out, you've made a difference. Wishing you continued healing. ā¤ļøā¤ļø
