personally i like the song but i do get why some people would not like it. the thing i don't like is that it seems like everyone who doesn't like it can't express that without saying "omg the song is shit" and not understanding that the lyrics are pure satire. like if you don't like the lyrics even after understanding them i get it. but damn why are people on the internet so quick to judge something before they even think about it lol

The beat of the song is great, the choreography is great, and the way the girls performed the song was great. However, if the lyrics of the whole song were in instead of the pre-chorus, chorus, post-chorus, and bridge, this song would be much better. The problem is that the lyrics of this song by themselves are not good enough to fill a whole song. Sadly, it took five people to write the lyrics of this song.

Choreo, concept, fits, ate down!! The song itself had a lot of potential, I like everything but the lyrics. If they had better lyrics and just more lyrics in general as well this song would've been amazing!

I'm sorry but I love the song 😭😭😭 like it feels like such a joke on Hollywood, it's so iconic I get that it's not everyone's thing but it's starting to feel a little forced to me. More than anything I'm glad that the girls love it and are proud of themselves because they said they're still figuring out their sound so I'm glad they're experimenting.

I feel like they were referencing how gnarly could be used for different meanings: fried chicken = gnarly, Tesla = gnarly ( Dani & Sophia were making disgusted faces during that part so I assume it’s negative for Tesla) . Some scenarios gnarly = cool & for some it’s bad/gross that’s why everything is so polarizing & campy imo. Xx

100% with you… it’s giving way too try hard the lyrics… and it’s way too early for them to be flexing and saying ppl are copying them lol especially when they’re basically copying the kpop way of creating a group and promoting. That’s a no for me … but all of my issues have nothing to do w the girls… they’re doing what they’re given and they’re doing it well… it’s just a flop song for me.. they perform it well… but it’s the product.. not the artist I don’t like here. Hoping this isn’t the vision they’re going with though

I've listened to this song a few times now. 1. I really do like the performance - but like... it isn't something I haven't seen before. 2. It's too "Western" for the "Eastern" culture. Especially for those who're fans of KPop. Like... if this was what I wanted to listen to, I'd tune into any radio station today. 3. All of the members did excellent!!! Truly, they're So talented!! 4. That talent was wasted on this song. I'd love if someone suggested a B Side that was really them, as artists. I'm 45 years old. My daughter is 24 years old. She really liked it! She said it gave her Charlie XCX "Brat Summer" vibes, and I concur. I then told her the ages of the members and even she was confused. I think it's great for that vibe... but as it's presented to others... idk if it quite 'hits' yet (for me at least, I'm only speaking for myself). Maybe they'll be revolutionary. Maybe I'm too old to appreciate the Art. I do really love the dance though, (I'd love it more if it weren't performed by someone as young as 17).

I dislike the song so much. Their dancing skills are good but too provocative for me. The confidence is amazing but the lyrics and the song is terrible. I’m going to be open minded for future songs with them because they could be so good.

i personally love how divisive this song and video is. half of the people hate it and half love it and that's good! it makes you feel something whereas most kpop songs kind of follow the same guidelines and structures which gets so boring and gives nothing. i personally love the song after a few listens and we know the girls can sing down so im not even worried.
