For example, sometimes “you” is mistakenly translated as “I.” I don’t know why they’ve been having so many problems with subtitles lately.

Regarding the changlix ep, I think the way they use "respect" feels a lot closer to admiration rather than deference or submission. They recognise that they each have different but equal strengths and use them as a way to support and learn from each other – does that make sense?
