I think the timing of playing with fire was important. I think that video was one of the first proper Hyunjin releases after his hiatus so it felt like he was making a statement

Excited that you're checking out skz replay now!! Yeah, there is just soo many amazing gems! The difference between Skz Record and Player is simple: Player has a video (mv or dance performance) and Record doesn't (covers or self-composed songs that only have the cover image and lyrics video but nothing was filmed)

I hope Hyunjin has the time or opportunity to self choreograph again and execute some dances again. Both Play with Fire and When the Party's Over really display just how good of a dancer he is both in the technical and interpreting sense. It also allowed him to connect with fans and exteriorize some of the awful feelings he probably was holding on to due to the hiatus. I have to be honest I can't really watch WTPO without tearing up a bit.

these two self-choreographed dance videos of hyunjin are one of the most special and respected content for us. they just mean a lot as a whole both in an emotional and artistic level. he’s the most inspiring and admirable artist for me personally. i hope he keeps creating art in all the ways he does and continues to share them with us, his dances and artistic expressions feed my emotional side and soul so much.

That playlist is so weird. I wonder if it's because when SKZ-Replay (the album) came out, they consolidated the SKZ-Record and SKZ-Player playlists into that and messed it up somehow (iirc they were two separate playlists?). Everything from 3 years ago til now seems to be in the correct order (when SKZ-Replay came out I think) but the earlier stuff is all out of order. If you want help, I could help put together a list!

To answer your question: SKZ-PLAYER = video content (songs with mvs, dance covers, etc), SKZ-RECORD = songs without mvs (either orginals or covers). SKZ-REPLAY is a blanket term for both types of extra content. There's a Hyunjin Criminal dance cover which for reasons unknown to mankind is under a separate playlist "SKZ-PRACTICE ROOM" by itself. Literally 0 other content. You might want to slip it in a skz-replay video, or in a dance practice dive, if you'd be interested in doing that on camera. Saying this out of utmost kindness and zealousness, not at all for baked goods related reasons.

i hold play with fire really close in my heart not only because it was the first thing we got from hyunjin after he returned from his hiatus, but also because of the emotions he conveyed throughout the whole performance. i loved that özlem pointed out that he starts out all neat and proper with his hair tied, shirt tucked in and then slowly throughout the choreo it's like he unravels as the music intensifies and he becomes more insane in a way with his hair loose and shirt unbuttoned lmao?? when this dropped and i saw the part where he squats down and does that smile looking so free, i remember screaming "OH HE'S SO BACK! WE'RE SOOO BACK!!" it just felt like a big "im back and better than ever" type of vibe :) AHHH i love that performance so muchhh!!!! (also belly piercing hyunjin you'll always be real in my head 😔)

To answer Ozlem's question - SKZ Records and SKZ players are released [originally] only on YouTube - no streaming platforms, as a way for member's personal expressions [to explore songs that may not fit the full group dynamic or even a full promoted solo release] as well as being gifts to the fandom. SKZ Records are songs [original or covers] with NO MVs. SKZ Players HAVE MVs [when its a song] or its a performance type video like these dance covers

hyunjin's play with fire cover was one of the craziest "you had to be there" moments in stayville i remember it as it was yesterday, the impact it had on us all *sigh*

They did do a cover all of them for my house, there is also a practice video, if I'm not mistaken. And, i don't know if I hallucinated it, but I think they said somewhere that the cover came from Chan's skz-player. But I may be wrong so don't take my word for it. And I'm patiently waiting to see if you guys will react to Hyunjin's AOTM. I think you would really like. Those three performances are so different from each other it's unreal, completely different vibes, same amazing dancer. I just love to watch him dance.

this is the way i understand play with fire as a dancer. hyunjin starts the video very put together. the clothes neat, hair neat, and his style looks like something a fantasy world prince would wear. this is societys expectations. people expect him to be very composed and clean. people expect him to be a "prince". as the dance progresses he sheds this expectations. he's starting to show his true character which is wild and free. he gets more and more intense and lets the dance consume him, letting his passion "ruin" his appearance because he doesnt care what people think anymore. the segment where he picks up the rose and scenery changes he starts to dance more feminine. even his hair is combed in a different more feminine way. this is him embrasing his feminine side, which also gets criticised by society. this is him saying im back and i dont gaf about your opinions anymore. i love it

yes to everything you saidd, I'm a pretty new fan so learning that pwf was his comeback from his hiatus was kinda insane to me, it's such as strong piece (by itself too) and such an integral part of hyunjin performances to me that the added fact that this was how he came back just blows my mind, i see it now as a phoenix rising from the ashes type of piece, I can't imagine how everyone who was there at that time felt man... (also yes, belly piercing hyunjin we yearn for you...)

I got excited thinking u reacted to the skz-replay album 😩😂 These are skz-players skz-replay is the album combining original songs from both skz-players & skz-records hopefully u get to reactions of all skz-records & player's & skz-replay album in the future I know it's a lot of content to get through but I'd love to experience it all again with ya'll.
