driving with alcohol bottles trend was obviously a smear campaign and it was not even near being funny. all of the armytwt was FIGHTING their asses off trying to say these are obvious set-up accounts. then their space voice records got leaked and everyone knew then but it was extremely exhausting i can assure you no one was laughing because it was a disgusting inhumane attack on both yoongi and his fanbase. maybe the person you saw was an exception because this is not a light matter especially for army.

As someone from America that listens to hip-hop and likes to engage in discourse about it, I think it has to do less with the artists and more with the way the general audience engages with the music. Hip-hop is less bar focused in general overall or at least the audiences care less about bars. I agree the women are on top, but there is a lack of depth from the audiences that are missing. Megan the Stallion, Latto, and Glorilla are doing their thing and barring up. But are the audiences really listening or are they vibing with the music and aesthetics/visuals? And if these audiences really care about bars then why aren’t rappers like/similar to Rapsody and Little Sims charting consistently (in America)? So going into what Suga said; I think the transitional period he is talking about is, and this is just my speculation, is about the core of hip-hop versus what the general audience wants hip-hop to be. Suga is someone who grew up on and creates music with bars and substance, so I know he would probably love for audiences to reciprocate that appreciation on some level. However, he knows the industry and he knows the general audience cares more about being apart of the “crowd” instead of forming their own opinion on music or looking deeper. I don’t care for charts either, but I think this is a perfect example of what RM was talking about in his interview. He can turn his brain off and listen to the top 50 global pop songs at times or he can look for something more enriching and in-depth. And right now a lot of people would rather turn their brain off. The state of hip-hop is a combination of some artists doing less and the general audience not seeking for more. PS. Sorry for this long asf message😂

Ahh glad you enjoyed it. The crazy thing at the time they were making it out like we army’s wanted yoongi out the group?? They sent daily flower wreaths at the front of hybe and his house. We couldn’t even do anything about it. Crazy times I am glad it’s over now and we can see yoongi smile

With hiphop back in the days before the internet and social media, it was more regional and it took longer for trends to go global. So you have unique NYC sound vs LA sound. Even within each region, you had unique sounds in the "hoods". Bronx had a different vibe compare to Brooklyn. But today a trend can go viral within a day and everybody would copy that trend.
