The excitement that came over me when FX came on, god bless

That lady you were confused about is not the dance coach from Produce (tho she does look like a younger version of her, so they could be sisters, idk). She was an in-house dancer for SM for yearsssss, like she was performing with every single group and damn near every soloist. That's why you recognized her from Luna to TVXQ (both were under SM).

f(x)… we freaking love you

f(x) were actually my favorite kpop girl group for a while, i'm mad at SM for a lot of things but the way they handled f(x) will probably always be near the top of the list for me, i still can't believe they let a group like that slip away. they were basically SHINee's sister group, and just like SHINee their discography was super diverse and pretty experimental at times. honestly both groups were ahead of their time while also setting trends at the same time which is probably why their music has aged so well. i'm not sure which f(x) song you heard before that didn't click with you but i'd definitely recommend giving their discography another shot. a lot of their title tracks are growers, and their b sides are amazing. especially the later ones, Pink Tape, Red Light and 4 Walls are especially good albums. i don't know if you and Özlem are planning to dive deeper into 2nd gen kpop at some point, but even the occasional glimpses in playlist party like this would be really fun (if you feel like it)

and i'm glad you checked out Day6 too, they have many good songs if you like the genre. i agree that the MV could've been way better. i don't know if the budget was just lower because they're a k-band rather than an idol group or if it was a deliberate concept choice but either way it definitely could've done more (at least their little jyp k-band successors Xdinary Heroes are getting some really cool MVs now, which makes me happy to see) thank you Esosa! and Kilah, for the playlist, i really enjoyed this one
