Aethel #6: Steamy Situation (Patreon)

A quick, happy smirk crosses her face, but her voice quickly turns frustrated.

Aethel: You saw that picture before I deleted it, didn't you

A little blush showed up on your face. You keep stuffing your mouth with pasta to buy some time to think.

Aethel sighs deeply. An awkward silence falls between you.

Aethel: Well, I'm glad you liked the pasta, at least.

You: It turned out great. Thanks again, I was starving.

She smiled discreetly.

Aethel: I couldn't find the paper towels. Sorry for the mess.

You: I will clean everything up.

She seems more relaxed now.

Aethel: I need to take a shower. Cooking got me all messy as well.

She carefully stands up and leaves the room.

While cleaning, you try to make sense of your situation. An unexpected roommate wasn't exactly in your plans. Maybe you should send her back? But she clearly has a mind of her own and she can decide what she wants. She might make a mess or cause trouble, but having a warm dinner ready was nice. She actually cared.

You: I guess I should take care of her too... even if this is all really weird.

You look around and notice all the sharp objects in the kitchen. Actually, the whole apartment is pretty dangerous for someone inflatable.

You: I think I have some bubble wrap in the storage room.

On your way to the storage room, you pass the bathroom. The door is slightly open, and you can't help but peek inside.
