edvard munch inspired piece, and this time an original one... well the body at the bottom is lifted from "Harpy". The pose of the woman by the door, and the inclusion of the reclining (dead) man is also taken from "The Murderess".

the woman's face is based (loosely) on the golden age scream queen, Michelle Bauer, and the whole piece is also inpsired by the schlocky flick Nightmare Sisters (1988) in which she stars.

The movie is about some unsavoury sorority pledges who wind up, through a series of coincidences, possessed by a succubus. When their dates for the night are ransacked by the beligerent fraternity bullies, they get more than they bargained for as the newfound hotties are literally hungry for their man-meat. The ghost-like creature in this drawing is similar to the appearance of the succubus ghost in the film at the climax. It was a slog at times but for a late-80's sleaze flick it was pretyy fun.

So if you know anything about succubi or incubi then you might be familliar with their connection to sleep paralysis. For ages the phenomenon is explained away as an invisible weight on the victim, presumed to be that of a demon-- who's purpose for visiting is to suck out your soul through sexual intercourse or something. AFAIK sleep walking has nothing to do with the monsters, but I've combined the two sleep conditions and linked them to create a... spooky ghost lmao.

you get to enjoy the original pixels, as well as the edited version I shared publicly. Also the Swarm King from the last post was edited similarly. I'm still playing around with trying to get a "wetter" feel to my pixels.
