Introducing: Vinegar Man (Patreon)

The second and titular character of the game, Vinegar Man is an antagonist that pressures and goads the player into pursuing things with Val. He's a manifestation of the hypothetical toxic rival suitor that fuels the typical Nice Guy's white knight fantasies. He's Dracula to her Mina Harker. He comes from all the customers that openly hit on your younger coworkers, or the scary guy at the bus stop who told me "you should get yourself a Filipina girl!" 🤮 (to which i only had the guts to nervous reply "Maybe!").

My original vision was to make him look very classicly ghoulish like Nosferatu or Captain Howdy, and sleazy like beetlejuice, but my first take had more of a John Waters / Nik Fiend vibe and that worked so perfectly that I ran with it.

Is he a ghost? a zombie? a man? Whatever Vinegar Man is, and how he fits into your life will remain open to interpretation. But regardless-- that horrid breath of his will become increasingly familliar when you go back home to your apartment.
