Early Test Shots (Patreon)

these were the proof of concept shots i made after i did my first repaints using some Scooby Doo characters as base models. Some of these get a few more coats/ modifications done to them over the next few weeks and months, but the overall style is representative of what my goal is. My inspirations for the paint jobs are silent horror movies from the 20s, the more abstract figures in the paintings of Edvard Munch, visuals from 1980s goth-rock music videos, and the wonky lineart and shadows of Tim Sale's work on The Long Halloween.
