I really enjoyed working on the 4th page. I never used to do panels like that where I attempted to convey feelings like anxiety, nervousness, the critical and punitive inner voices, or a psychological regression of any sort. I didn't have a clear idea of what I was going to do, I just experimented with whatever came to mind.

I think you did a really good job. The first panel can be interpreted as her outgoing anxiety but the 2nd and 3rd panel did an excellent job capturing her eye movement; that fear, anxiety, uncertainty are all expressed in her eyes. Finally, the last panel confirms what the first 3 panels are relaying with what as you said are the inner voices of either past comments made to Ellie when she tried to speak up or her internal monolog of what she would expect to hear if she spoke up (and usually the latter is a direct result of the former which is someone said it to her or she heard it when no one thought she was listening). Beautiful work!

Thank you Sherri! I've been learning a bit about face reading and how certain emotions and mental states are conveyed in the facial anatomy. The eyes do say so much about how someone is feeling.

I am enjoying these pages so far. I agree you've captured the anxiety well in her eyes and the internal thoughts. That last page is how I feel when my anxiety ramps up from time to time...can't always quiet the replays of voices of negativity.

I am enjoying your new b&w manga style to revamp for SWFTD. I also enjoyed it when you had it color but there's just something nostalgic for me about having it in that b&w manga style where it's simple and charming. No pressure about the coloring process either. Thank you for your hard work 🙏🏼
