Long ass story arcs + Ellie's Potion shop sneak peek✨ (Patreon)
Content
I revisited Berserk recently and I was just thinking about the decade long boat arc. People regard it as the weakest point of the manga, but they're willing to be patient because Kentaro Miura's a well-respected artist and master storyteller of 30+ years. I realized recently that despite my growth, I'm still losing a higher percentage of patrons compared to artists with similar numbers who either post less or don't do as much NSFW. If those things aren't required to keep as many patrons, then it has to be the story / 6+ month arcs.My guess is that slow progress / not enough excitement in the plot = less interest and less investment in the characters and their story. I'm wondering if the reason is because my script is bloated and producing a full color comic + NSFW alone takes a long time. It seems like less pages with more advancement in plot is more favorable than extra NSFW pages and long monologues.I've been doing this for about a year and a half, so I know my growth is great because my peers have been around for far longer, and I already caught up with / surpassed some of them. Regardless, I think I'm not living up to my potential and I'm not making the most of the opportunities I've been afforded. I'm confident I can eventually figure out how to produce higher quality art faster, but my writing is where I'm concerned. Any genuine criticism and feedback are greatly appreciated. If you don't want to write it here, please PM me here on Patreon and I'd love your input. Thank you!!❤️Btw, I'm really loving how Ellie's potion shop is turning out!! It looks like Skyrim with mods on a high-powered PC 😂 Also listen to this cute Bôa X Serial Experiments Lain X Dua Lipa remix.
