😮 congratulations! Its so good that you're getting out on your own 🤗✨ this journeys going to be great for you! Im excited for your new beginning 🙌🏾🎆🎇✨

Ms. CherryBlossom

I’m so happy 😃 for you and I am also very excited as well. I know that making changes can be kinda of scary and gives some anxiety but I know you will do great. I wish you all the wonderful things life can gives you and lots of happiness & success 😉. I love ❤️ love your art work and I am so appreciative of it. Much love 💕 greetings from Texas 🇺🇸

Foresthare

Darling, so happy you are out on your own, I find anxiety is greatly relieved by having a magnesium tablet and a cup of milk before bed. I admire your dedication to green 💚 its my favourite colour too! Your new place looks beautiful already you have done so much! I'm @foresthare on instagram (110% cottagecore content) if you feel shitty ever & want a chat. Same goes for any of my fav perverts on here, hi hi!

ajoji_comic

Thank you Amber <3 rough start to the year with the old PC breaking down, replacing it, and then building another one AGAIN AHH...will so be worth it though. I'm really looking forward to when I can implement more 3D into my work because it means I won't be as constricted by time. Sometimes my scene transitions aren't smooth or I don't feel like I can thoroughly explore something because I have to decide if the amount of time I need to spend on it is worth it since I have to ensure it also holds the audience's interest. I think it'll be less of a dilemma over time as I level up 💪😉

ajoji_comic

Aww Thanks Vanessa <3 it really was scary for the first few weeks. The area I live in is eerily quiet at night, so I slept in the closet because I was afraid of an intruder busting into my place. I'm much more comfortable now though. Just need to get this office / battle station completed so I can focus 100% on my writing and art.

ajoji_comic

Thank you Foresthare <3 Yes, that's another thing I'm working on is taking more supplements. Mostly I find my anxiety stems from not taking care of myself enough like lack of sleep and exercise, poor diet, dehydration, etc and not interacting with people enough or avoiding things I shouldn't be afraid of. The human body is so demanding haha And yes, it seems I'm quite fond of green. It wasn't intentional, but I suppose it's the influence Ghibli / Hayao Miyazaki has had on me. A lot of his environments are filled with plant life and the living spaces are natural as well. Lots of wood, green paint, fabrics, tiles, etc. Thank you for the offer and for sharing. Cottagecore, goblin core, dark academia, victorian style are all my jam. Such lovely aesthetics~

Stephanie

Way to go! Major growth for me has always happened outside of my comfort Pnes - so excited to see what this experience will bring for you my friend!

This is really cool! Thank you for sharing ❤️

isha ohara

So excited but so patient. Take you time.

TinyNomz

Holy cow! You've been busy af! Im so excited for you though! New steps are always scary, but you grow in ways that surprise you, and thats so rewarding. I highly recommend having plants around, cause they help a space feel more alive and welcoming. Mad respect for you making the choice to step out on your own and do it all despite your anxiety. I've found teas with lavender and chamomile and rosehip to be helpful in managing mine, so if that helps you too, drink up! 😁 I wish you all the joys of finding your personal space and making it your own. Take your time and know we are cheering for you.

Foresthare

Lets see- its a sunday afternoon. I gots time for a reply. You are very candid about where your anxiety springs from. I think you are looking in the right areas too 😄😄😄👌 am working through some health stuff currently & this charts basic but if you look at the symptoms a lot of what could be contributing to your anxiety is likely a result of a nutritional depletion, those are easily corrected with supplements. I personally had a lot of chest pain, palpitations and anxiety that disappated with regularly supplementing of magnesium for instance, and minerals are easily overlooked by modern medicine. Post covid last summer my b12 ran down to the point where I was fading out of existence. In another era that could have killed you, now you can just get b12 shots and live! One thing I am finding good for healing are things that encourage me gently to find the joys in life. If you can get outside a few times a week by yourself for relaxation; warm sun on your skin and feel the grass under your feet, walk in a forest, sit and listen to a babbling brook. It will have a knock on effect of making you tired so you will sleep better, a good nights sleep will give you a hearty appetite etc you will have more energy and therefore more willing to move/go outside. I know your job is one many people who seek out solitude consider because you can wfh but its very taxing on your body and mind/emotionally draining too to be at your desk so much even though its very lovely! I wonder if you are prolly a bit guilty about not working when you do see/interact with people you think about what you could have gotten done on your backlog instead of hanging out ( I was like this when I went fulltime with my painting years ago, however absolutely besotted with my mr so the big ole D got me reasons to step away from the easel 😄 ) but I may be totally wrong about that. You have set a very high standard for yourself, you are out there on your own art wise and we *all* appreciate it but thats tiring as hell too! You need love as well! I know you have Ellie and Grave, some more plants? A quiet pet like a bunny so its not just you? I often joke and call my mr my wife but if it makes your life easier -a cleaner to pick up the slack. A meal prep company that delivers healthy tasty food. Laundry you drop off. Ideally anything that makes life easier could be useful to you at this point. What I do to encourage drinking is make a 500ml bottle with fruit juice maybe a fifth of the way up, a spoonful of honey and a few twists of pink salt then top it with cold carbonated water. Its a very cheap way of getting electrolytes into you. I make one up at 7am, 12, 4 and 8pm to sip from throughout the day. You will have lots more energy from it X I see the ghibli/Hayao Miyazaki thing now. Those films are magical and threaded throughout my childhood. Probably why I gravitated towards your art in the first place. Yes, to all the naturecores & dark accademia! I mean egl fashion has my soul (omg the clothes!) but cottagecore is my heart. Thursday I visited a very girly 18th century style tearoom and saw baby spring lambs in a field by the woods dressed in my floofiest selkie frock and a victorian themed corset, @aclotheshorse lives the next county over to me and she has a very beautiful aesthetic i think you would enjoy 💞 no worries on the offer, moving out by yourself takes a bit of getting used to, quite scary! But the personal sense of peace it offers after a while is profound

Ash Henry

Congrats! Going it on your own is a big step but you'll be so proud of yourself for doing it. It's anxiety-inducing, because in the back of your head, you wonder what will happen if you fail. But you can't fail because you've already succeeded. If the worse happens and you ever have to go back, you know that you can go it alone again, because you've done so once already. I'm also cheering you on! You got this. I've got bad anxiety also, so I understand the struggle. If you find non-medication related things that help, I hope you'll share. Very excited to see more of Brute and Sophie. I hope you get the electronics figured out. We'll be here to support you!

Jasmine Harrison

Aura your comment is beautiful. 😍 Just wanted to say that Brute and Sophie is from an other very lovely comic. I love that comic as well though. ❤️ I’m really happy that you know it as well.

Ash Henry

Thanks! I know that being an artist is a lifelong struggle (for most) between anxiety and courage that affects so many areas of your life. The best moments come when you don’t let the fear win. And then trying to remember that next time. 😂 It’s such a great comic too ❤️

Nicole Berg

Congratulations! Wishing more and more positive energy, happiness, and so much success with your new journey! ⭐️🫶🏾🙌🏾👍🏾👏🏾🤗

BERN

I feel exactly how you feel about anxiety and medication. I'm trying to find that thing to help me manage as well so I hope both of us can find it!

danksyDOODLE

I do "spicy content" (different account than this one) and editing it is always the worst. I get so in my head, and I make things into a bigger deal than they are. I fully empathize with you, and alos know we have to challenge those little voices. ALSO, I love your Jujutsu Kaisen mouse pad. ❤️

ajoji_comic

Thanks for taking the time to write such a thorough reply. <3 You have a lovely way of writing. Everyone's dealt a different set of cards in life, but I think modernity has complicated life in ways our parents probably didn't have to deal with 10-20+ years ago. Basic necessities are unaffordable, it's harder to have long lasting friendships / relationships, everything we're consuming from food to the media are manipulated in some way and rarely ever for our benefit, companies want us to keep paying and to own nothing, and newer infrastructure is becoming uglier and unpleasant to live in. That on top of neurological issues would making anyone go a little insane. I think you have a lot of gems of wisdom here. I actually went out for a walk earlier and took some time to clean, organize, and call my family. It really helped me to calm down. I will have to try that electrolyte concoction you recommended as well. I recently learned that plain water isn't as effective without some salt. And you're spot on with your analysis on us introverted artists. I wrote some time back about how isolating myself was causing an emotional numbing effect and that I'd try to rectify that, but it's a lot harder because life moves so quickly. Though I do talk more to people at the market or when I'm running other errands. Anyhow, thank you again for taking the time to impart some of your wisdom. I'll probably be back to write at length about my troubles a month or so from now lol but I am making progress. I'm doing a lot of things that terrified me not too long ago.

ajoji_comic

I gave away a lot of my plants because the upkeep was beginning to add to my anxiety, but I do plan to introduce some plants to my space. They do make a room feel that much more lovely. And rosehip tea sounds delicious. Thanks Jane <3

ajoji_comic

The expectation of failure is scary, but I'm learning to accept it instead of trying to play god and control the outcome. I think a lot of the effective ways of managing anxiety are obvious, but just not easy to implement every day. Little stresses can build up quickly in the modern world, not to say living in a primitive society would be any easier, I wouldn't know lol What is Brute and Sophie? I looked it up and didn't get that many results. Is that the comic about the dog and cat?

ajoji_comic

There's a lot of writing insisting it's totally fine, but we really can't know without long term research. That's just my personal choice...I've gotten far without it, but some days I feel like I'm held together by a thread. I think talking about it helps me to get back to the basics. I feel like I can't say I'm truly helpless until I've exhausted all my other options such as adequate sleep, proper nutrition, staying hydrated, socializing, having intimacy, cutting out negative shit, etc etc. It's not impossible, but it seems to be harder to meet all those needs as time goes on.

ajoji_comic

Yeah, the psychological hurdles can be hard to get past. I tend to over complicate things and psyche myself out. Often times, I'm surprised at how simple the solution is if I just tried and had a little bit of persistence. But even if the outcome is negative, I'm usually able to move past it. Avoidance can be a way of trying to control a situation, but sometimes we just gotta do the best we can and let life happen. World's gonna keep moving on with or without us. Thanks <3 I was thinking of getting a Howl's Moving Castle one at first, but I figured something cool and neutral would be less distracting.

Just focus on one thing at a time and take a deep breaths. Always remember we are all your cheerleaders 📣. Sending you all the good vibes your way !!🫶🏼🫰🏼

Congratulations! The peace from living on your own is priceless! Being able to be 1000% you and able to decompress is such an underrated thing so I’m really happy you have that I hope you start to see the change with your anxiety. I use a lot of mindfulness techniques to help me with my anxiety and getting good ample sleep is important too. Something that improved greatly when I started living by myself.

Pho is my happy food! What a great dish to know how to cook!

Abbygaile jadin

I am a much better healthier person, partner and parent on my medications. You do you but sometimes people need medications and I hope you don’t look down on those who do…

Ash Henry

This is why I shouldn’t post with a migraine. I had literally just come from their comic when I got the notification for your Patreon post and put in the wrong names. I didn’t even notice. 🤯 I honestly meant Ellie and Grave. So sorry. (Crawls under a rock…) Brute and Sophie are from My Mobster Boyfriend. I love your comic. These characters are wonderful

Theresa McGuinness

Random but I love Cecily Mary's flower faerie art- each of my sisters and I have an ornament of a different flower fairy from her

ajoji_comic

Thank you Mia <3 Can't underestimate the power of peace and quiet >w< it's interesting to see the kind of person we truly are when left to our own devices.

ajoji_comic

I started cooking so many different things since I started living alone. Tikki masala, naan, different breads, carrot cake, and of course pho! It was actually my first time making the soup and it turned out to be quite simple. Just takes a while to get the meat to melt off the bones ^-^and rinsing the meat after boiling first is so key~

ajoji_comic

I recently got all of the four seasons. That's so lucky~ Those ornaments must be so pretty~
