You know I love the Ghibli / babushka aesthetic, but I'm also quite fond of modern interior design. I went for a brutalistic aesthetic for Grave's apartment, with a slight mid century touch. Brutalism is a controversial type of architectural design, but some of the Japanese and European takes on it can be visually stunning in my opinion, especially when you pair with natural elements like wood, metals, cotton, plants and flowers, etc. Lighting plays a huge role too in the overall feel. It kind of reminds me of the main menu in The Last of Us.
