This month I've been reading a lot of short stories, some of which are recommendations from Ben's videos such as Chekov, Hemmingway, Monro, de Maupassant and Bradbury. They have really rekindled a love for the classics in me. I've also been reading the poetry of Seamus Heaney and reread my old school copy of Brian Friel's play Translations; heavily annotated and falling apart but thoroughly enjoyable. I've also been rereading The Hobbit. As December has rolled around I'm embarking on the Middlemarch serial read and already enjoyed the first chapter. I finally took the plunge and signed up to the book club here today.

Is there going to be an introductory talk for Faust? If not, when should part one be finished by?
