Dalek Diplomacy - WIP #9 (Patreon)

Hello all,

There are more people in this shot than I actually animated.

If you look closely, most of the crowd is built from a single Exxilon character that’s been reused across the scene. Because they’re all dressed the same, you can get away with it quite easily, and it lets the shot feel much larger without needing to animate every individual figure.

It’s one of those tricks that disappears and results in good pay-off if it’s working properly.

The rest of the shots with this sequence is starting to fall into place visually. And of course once the sound design is added, it should feel considerably more solid.
