Well!

That was fun! And incredibly hot indeed. Every day was like the blazing surface of the sun. And despite that, we didn't get the post-con blues, but we did catch post-con covid, crazy enough. It was certainly very different to the anime conventions I used to go to in England in the 1990s.

The panel went really well, so thanks to Maki for putting that whole thing together! In their infinite wisdom, the people in charge of con scheduling decided to put our panel on at the same time as the screening of the Amazing Digital Circus (only two panels about indie animation over three days, and they both had to be in direct competition...) and a popular indie radio show segment, but some people still turned up and we both received lots of very kind words afterwards! (Our room was 3 rooms long so there's another batch of people to the right but couldn't fit them in the shot.) Some attendees came up to Maki to tell her it was easily the best panel they attended all weekend so it really made us happy to be there. There were lots of celebrities too, Bam Margera from Jackass was on before us.

Maki also did some networking and might even have a potential coffee sponsorship for the livestreams that we've been joking about for years now! Plus we might be teaming up with the 501st Everglades division for a charity thing. Their finest troopers provided security at the panel.

Well, that's all for the moment. Gonna grab some ginger tea for my throat. Obviously, no livestream tonight, sadly!

Nice work! Sorry to hear it didn't go fully to plan. Had an animated short of mine screened at Nottingham Con some years back - twas fun to see the reaction of people while not being cooped up in the studio.
