Summer '26 Print - Top Gun (Patreon)

Well, here it is! This one is another very close collaboration between myself and Maki on composition, colour balancing and general placement of all the elements, so big thanks to her for elevating it to something I wouldn't mind eyeing on a shelf next to a copy of Days of Thunder or Karate Kid!

As with any established IP, there was a bit of research needed for this one, from the placement of the patches on the jackets and decals on the F-14, down to the design of the (fictional) enemy Mig-28 aircraft (actually F-5E Tiger IIs painted black) and what missiles they fire. Hopefully I've gotten all the technical bits right!I really wanted to draw an aircraft carrier but there just wasn't room!

This is the cover for a fake 90s OVA and features two episodes - Danger Zone and Mighty Wings! Directed by Shoji Kawamori.

Anyway, if you're in the Elite Pilot tier, please ensure your shipping address is correct and we'll get these printed and shipped off to you asap!
