Ok sooooo, here are the sweet 16 teams/movies and then minus the FINAL FOUR which I'll be making my way through. So 12 options, one wildcard winner!

I think Total Recall, Thomas Crown Affair, Hot Fuzz, Tears of the Sun, and Ready Player One are the best options! I voted for Thomas Crown Affair as I've never seen a reaction to it and it's a great movie! Fun, sexy, exciting etc... Hot Fuzz is HILARIOUS and unique in its comedy. And I love the representation of the military in Tears of the Sun... under-rated movie, in my opinion.

C'mon Hot Fuzz is funny don't get me wrong but compared to Denzel and Training Day it's like comparing a Reliant Robin to a Bentley Edit: Radiant Robin is way too low Hot Fuzz is more like a classic Austin-Healey, pick a year. You pick the Bentley because there is not enough Denzel Washington movies on this channel.

“Tora, Tora, Tora” I’ve been wanting forever. “Tears of the Sun” is a great, highly underrated Bruce Willis movie, so I want that too! The two I DON’T want are winning, haha. I didn’t like Training Day and Total Recall (paid good high school money from my job at Wendy’s that year) was a flop then, a flop after and is suddenly popular again. Thems-the-breaks, I guess, lol.

Yes, THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR was basically made with Cassie and Carly in mind, even though they were just children (unless this is the Steve McQueen one - then it was predictive of their respective births and eventual movie preferences/likes 🤣).

My Cocaine was not in the original TCA, that was Steve McQueen. That said, the one in the poll is the Brosnan version, not the McQueen original. Both films are excellent for different reasons but I much prefer the Brosnan one.

Total Recall is perhaps a must see sci-fi. But The Rocketeer is one of my favorite movies. I think Cassie and Carly would enjoy watching it together. I’m not sure when they are gonna get back to some old fashioned romcoms but my pick is Fools Gold as a fun adventure RomCom.

Seriously, out of all of the movies on this list, I love Uncle Buck the most, and I think Cassie AND Carly will love it the most as well. Its got multiple elements of a movie that they both like (comedy, tender moments, nostalgia from the 80’s, John Candy, directed by John Hughes). “I don’t think I want to know a six year old who isn’t a dreamer or a silly heart. And I certainly don’t want to know one who takes their student career seriously. “ My favorite quote from the movie.

I see a couple of people have asked which version of Total Recall (I prefer the original) but my question is, which version of The Thomas Crown Affair? The original is old School 1960s fare with a great cast (Stever McQueen) but I found the new one to be a bit more fun (and sexier).

Patrick Mcgoohan forever! Cassie would've liked Robocop better if she had watched the theatrical version instead of the extended version, which put back in much more blood and violence that had been cut out. 9 out of 10 extended versions are a waste, directors cuts are better.

Rocketeer is a fun adventure, and since it’s set in 1938 it’s deliberately “dated” so it’s timeless. It’s hard to not recommend it. By the way, it’s Doug QUAID, not McQuaid. Maybe you were thinking of Chuck Norris in Lone Wolf McQuaid.

I assumed it would be the 1990 one, but I did check. And yes, the 1990 has been requested 99 times on the Popcorn requests list and is the movie in question as it is the only version in the range picked for the March Madness brackets . The 2012 has been requested once tho. Wonder if that was a mistake by the requester 🤔 But the list also reveals Cassie has already seen the 2012 version. Doubt she remembers much from it, but still.

The Rocketeer is a really great, old-fashioned hero flick; it looks really quaint now, but that doesn't mean it's not still entertaining as hell. But I can't be mad if Total Recall or Hot Fuzz win over it: both are hilarious, fun times.

Hot Fuzz is in second; Total Recall is winning the poll. Cassie and Carly have watched Point Break already, but I don't see reactions to Bad Boys 1 & 2. Those movies are referenced in Hot Fuzz, so ideally should be watched first... but Hot Fuzz is an homage/parody of Michael Bay action movies; since they've watched The Rock and Con Air on the channel, they should get it, especially the humour!

Uncle Buck is always close, but never quite gets to #1... I'm hoping you'll react to it because it's come so close SO many times!!! It's an awesome movie! Everyone in our family can recite this movie, nearly from start to finish! It's hysterical and I know you'll love it! I'm surprised she never saw Total Recall or Commando. She also missed out on the other Terminator movies including the third one! I'll tell ya what though, Bill & Ted's and Rocketeer! She should see those with Carlie! SHe'll love it!
