Our Pollception winner was this movie request poll from numbers 100-250. I did a random number generator to pick our movies and here we gooooo

Comments

Just Plain Bob

Voted for “Let the Right One In”, although I don’t think it stands a chance. Superb movie, but people are scared of subtitles.

William Bryan

Joker. "You get what ya f****** deserve!" *bang*

Wesley White

My vote is for Bad Boys and Last Action Hero! Those are awesome 😎 lol 😂

Jennifer Taylor

Sister Act....ready for a lighthearted fun movie.

Choof

I hope for very few Joker votes. I didn't mind it but I just don't think it will make for a good reaction

Seymor Butz

Nice. Didn't know there were that many other Last Action Hero fans out there. An Arnold classic in my opinion.

Ron

Fatal Attraction will get better reactions, like "The Game" did with Michael Douglas as well.

Bill Maurer

48 hrs. This should be an easy one.

Blake Evans

Last Action Hero is one of Arnold’s most underrated by films. It’s the Scream of action movies. Sister Act has so many nostalgia pulls for me. But Joker is in a league of its own!

Matt

First time voting in one of these polls 🙂 How many do we choose?

Mike LL

I suppose I have to be true to my man Cary Grant and vote for CHARADE. There is no bigger Cary Grant fan than me here, and I have long wanted more of his films to be seen, but CHARADE was never suggested by me. But I guess some Cary Grant is better than none at all. I would rather have BRINGING UP BABY, THE PHILADELPHIA STORY, NOTORIOUS, and TO CATCH A THIEF, but beggars can't be choosers!!!! Plus, Cassie want's more Audrey Hepburn. CHARADE is no SABRINA, but some Audrey etc, etc. . . Plus, Plus, I want more Hitchcock. And CHARADE is certainly not Hitchcock, but some etc, etc, etc . . . 🤣🤣🤣

Rosario Cicero

Joker must place and 48hrs must show

Stranger2Reality
>>136036431

If subtitles are a no go, the American remake Let Me In was really good as well, even though I usually find English language remakes pointless and often far inferior. But the people who made Let Me In were all very talented filmmakers and did a great job.

Choof
>>136036609

I think that makes it popular, not necessarily a good reaction. If people want it I'm all for that for them, I just don't see the appeal

Kelly Oehlschlager

I voted for Cocoon and Sister Art because I think she would really enjoy them.

Stranger2Reality

Cassie would absolutely love Charade, but it looks like it's lagging pretty far behind. Last Action Hero is fun though, since that seems to be winning.

diego kontarovsky

if you want to have a good time, go with last action hero and sister act

John Liebling

Cocoon is a tender Cassie...Carly pick. I think Joker will be tougher on Cassie's psyche than Apocalypse Now. Cassie continues to prove us all wrong by becoming braver and braver with her flick picks. Joker is certainly NOT for Carly

Patrick Gibbs

How is Last Action Hero on this list let alone the 2nd most requested one on the list????? It’s practically unwatchable!! 🤦🏽‍♂️

Keith Brown

Charade is a classic romantic/thriller with Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn in top form. The best Hitchcock movie not directed by Hitch.

Matt Rose

CHARADE, all day and every day (and twice on Sundays). You'd love love love it.

Sindre Kristiansen

I voted Bad Boys, Sister Act, Charade, and Let the Right One In. I think all of these options would be interesting though so I’m just enjoying the reaction ride whatever movie ‘wins’. ☺️

Jacob Wagner

Cocoon you must watch with Carly

Rick Savage

Charade is a great movie for Cassie and Carly. It's a sexy, silly, sophisticated, thriller, suspense, romance. And it's totally rated PG.

Lana Pico

OMG I would love to see you and Cassie react to Sister Act just to get to see you guys react to Sister Act 2! Both amazing films! Also, consider reacting to Fried Green Tomatoes sometime! I love your reaction to Steel Magnolias

Roger Banks

I voted for “Let The Right One In”. Cassie will hate it.

Tim Raths

Good luck trying to find Cocoon if it wins.

Peter Dillard

I agree Cocoon is a sweet movie and perfect to watch with Carly but my vote was for Charade - Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn - Classic

Jacob and Kim

So sad Cocoon isn’t doing better.

AGBmom

Please Bad Boys! I’ve been waiting forever lol

Jeffery Parks

Not voting for Will Smith in anything. Everyone needs to see Fatal Attraction at least once. Let The Right One In is super chilling, but maybe another time. Sister Act is definitely fun. Cocoon would be a great Cassie and Carly reaction. Of these, hoping Fatal Attraction gets the win.

Alex Ch
>>136037084

I really enjoy LAH? Shane Black’s sharp puncturing of 80s tropes and John McTiernan’s sure hand with setpieces. Charles Dance in particular I find hilarious. Is it not satisfying for you as satire or as action or do you just dislike the broad performances?

Neill Shaughness

I am both shocked and thrilled that The Last Action Hero is doing so well

mikethemotormouth

Can't remember the last time I voted for all but one in a poll

LittleGalaxyBoy

Last Action Hero, remember finding it as a kid during the 2000s thanks to my mum having a ton of movie tapes. Also discovered The Running Man (1987) another Schwarzenegger film I adore. I believe my mum taped a kids movie for me but forgot she also taped The Running Man as well for herself so I discovered that by accident once the cute film about a boy and his dog was over.

Tyler Foster

Charade!!!! Argh, the classics are so easily defeated...

Larry Darrell

Let’s Go Last Action Hero!! *Clap**Clap* Let’s Go Last Action Hero!! *Clap**Clap*

Celeste McAllister

A nice balance of good and shlock, let's do this again soon 251-400!

Stick Figure Studios

Looks like LAST ACTION HERO is in the lead. Flawed though it may be, I have always liked that film (saw it twice in the theater that summer), so while there are other titles on here I would rather see get a reaction, I have no problem voting for LAH... and not just to ensure that BAD BOYS doesn't win (ugh).

Michael Weiner

I’m glad to see so many Charade supporters in the comments, if not in the votes.

Stick Figure Studios
>>136036609

I'd rather see her watch the original movies from which JOKER took its inspiration: TAXI DRIVER and KING OF COMEDY.

Larry Darrell
>>136036793

Not looking good, but at least the Classics are being represented, and that’s something.

Mike Lemon

Fatal Attraction for Mother Popcorn! That is one of her favorites, right?

Jason Mangen

Charade is an all time Cary Grant Mystery Romance. Too bad it looks like she wont get to watch it.

Mike LL
>>136040260

At least it doesn't look like it will come in last. That is a consolation.

Tim Raths
>>136037987

She probably won’t be able to watch it anyway because it’s impossible to find.

John

The only way she will ever get to see any pre seventies true classics is if she picks them herself. She needs to run some polls with nothing but the old ones.

Pickupthepieces76
>>136039942

Never cared for Bad Boys. Thought Will Smith was so so and that other dude was just irritating. Saw some of his stand up and he is just not funny.

Dana Regan

do something way diff..48 hours is a great movie

LittleGalaxyBoy
>>136039372

I'm positive it was Lassie lol But it's been so long that I can't really remember anything to do with the film beyond The Running Man being played afterwards.

YodatheHobbit
>>136038428

Same! I mentioned it a couple weeks ago in a comment but ever expected it to suddenly be in a poll!

Steven Perez

LET THE RIGHT ONE IN is an amazing movie.

psu01414

It probably won't win the poll but I've been waiting for you to watch Charade. It's my favorite Cary Grant movie and my daughter loves Audrey Hepburn.

Jacob King

Charade and Let the Right One In are both masterpieces and Sister Act is a classic.

Rod Reavern

Ugh... I'll skip Cassie's Last Action Hero full reaction if that wins because I'm not re-watching that entire movie. Maybe I'll watch the YT edit to see Cassie's reaction to a bad Arnie movie. Whereas if Cassie watches Total Recall (1990), I'm all in on the R-rated Arnie action! I voted Bad Boys because Cassie should watch Bad Boys 1 & 2 before she watches Hot Fuzz, which is a satire of buddy-cop action movies. I also voted for 48 Hours and Joker.

Joe Mallard

Can't go wrong with any of the top 3 so far.

Ike

LAST ACTION HERO! (The Galaxy Quest version of Lethal Weapon & Die Hard) I’m not a Will Smith fan anymore (BAD BOYS), I didn’t like JOKER and Michael Bay made one good movie (13 HOURS). So, Ah-nold Schwarzenegger it is!

Jacob King
>>136037855

It’s a movie about kids making friends for the first time and growing and learning together. I don’t see the problem.

Matt

Noob question here, but how do we refresh the poll to see how the numbers are looking? I tried the usual way of just dragging down from the top of the screen, but it still shows only 12 votes so far on mine.

Shawn Kildal

We're fixing to watch Total Recall. Maybe we can mix it up, spread the wealth, and do something other than another Arnold movie (nothing against him of course).

Jacob King
>>136036431

Yeah, the original is better but Let Me In has a lot going for it. One problem with the subtitles is there are some fast and loose versions going around. Subtitling is an art.

Shawn Kildal

Still believe Fatal Attraction would illicit an all-time reaction from Cassie. Plus it's one her Mom's favorite movies.

William Brownlee

Charade is a really good movie. It is older and is at a big disadvantage. I think it is a movie people would enjoy if they would give it a chance. A mystery in the Hitchcock mode. Love Cary Grant

Allison

I doubt Charade will win because it's an oldie but you should definitely watch it sometime! So good!

Shawn Kildal
>>136036609

I'd rather have Cassie do a reaction to Batman: Mask of the Phantasm for her Joker movie.

Choof
>>136036609

Oh absolutely. It's a cliche take among nerds now but that is one of the best batman movie

Mike LL
>>136040789

I've said this for several months now. A poll for 1930's movies. A separate poll for 1940's movies.

Larry Darrell
>>136043473

I don’t know. I’m normally on board with “Spreading the Wealth”… but, a good Double Feature can be Fun too.

Mike LL
>>136043407

Navigate to some other web page. Then navigate back should refresh the page.

Mike LL
>>136043473

Don't look now, but Bad Boys is catching up and may overtake and win the poll.

Matt
>>136043407

I'm using the app, so I logged out of my account and logged back in, which did the trick. Thanks guys. 👍

Larry Darrell
>>136040789

A number of us have been pushing for more Classic Polls. I may have mentioned this before… what if there was One Classic Poll a month. Have each Poll be a Decade. One for the 30s, One for the 40s, then 50s and 60s. Include 5 - 10 films, including all genres, in each Poll. Start with the 30s then every 4 months, start over. This would only be One Classic film a month. At the end of the year, She would have seen 3 films from the 30s, 3 films from the 40s, and 50s and 60s. It would be a small start.

jdj830

Surprised to see how well Last Action Hero is doing. It was considered a huge flop at the time. (It didn't help that it suffered in comparison with the other big blockbuster of 1993, Jurassic Park.) The only reason I saw it is because I played a very small role in contributing to the movie's soundtrack; I was working at Tower Records and one of the producers of the film came in looking for recommendations for classical music excerpts to use in the film. In exchange for taking my suggestions I got a really nice bottle of wine and a year's pass to a local movie theater. (I had performed a similar service for Rising Sun, The Unbearable Lightness of Being and Leonard Part 6, three very different films. I was also an extra on Howard the Duck, but that's a story for another day.) Anyway LAH is no masterpiece (though it's much more enjoyable than Total Recall IMO) but it's fun and you've definitely seen many worse movies.

K

Sister Act is my favorite here and I think Cassie would love it!

Kristin D

Sister Act may not be in the lead, and will probably lose out, but it's a perfect Cassie movie.

Walter

Last Action Hero, Sister Act, and Bad Boys...good grief.

Stephen Dias

Honestly, I've only seen five of these movies.

Todzilla

So glad "Last Action Hero" is winning. I totally believe in Cassie "going back to her roots". Her channel took off in the beginning watching these 80s/90s action films. Especially those staring Schwarzenegger. I know a lot of Cassie fans want her to watch artsy dramas and indie films. Some want her to go back to her "rom-com" days before she even had a reaction channel. I think Cassie is the best at giving everyone what they want. However my opinion only, she's at her BEST when she's all in on an ole school action flick where she's shouting out "OH MY GOSH!!!". I still stick by my guns that her best reaction was the original Predator movie. If you haven't watched the full reaction, do it. It's awesome.

Shadowlord

Really hoping it's Cocoon. It's one of the great 80s movies that's been all but forgotten.

Dan M
>>136039801

I’m totally on board with this idea. Its probably the only way to get some the movies high on the list watched and reacted to.

David Collins

"48 Hours" gets my vote, but not looking good for it. Eddie and Nick Nolte have such great on screen chemistry. I'm a little impressed at how deftly Cassie somehow keeps artfully dodging and weaving around all of the best Eddie Murphy movies. Hoping sooner or later Beverly Hills Cop sitting at the top of the popcorn requests site will bring that to an end. Bad Boys would be a nice consolation prize.

Dan M

I think Cassie and Carly would both love Cocoon and Sister Act. Cocoon has a stacked cast of movie greats and the story is both fun and thought provoking. And Sister Act is just pure entertainment with a great soundtrack. I’m a fan of most Ah..nald films, but Last Action Hero just didn’t do it for me. Probably why I haven’t watched it since it came out. But if it wins, I’ll give it watch along again with C+C. Maybe my opinion will have changed over the past 30 years.

K Dub
>>136050402

I would agree but I think some reactors have to "graduate" 1st to see something like 48hrs. Ease them in to it with Beverly Hills Cop 1st 😆😂Its like throwing people in the deep end of the pool with Denzel in "Training Day." 1st.😆😂🤣 I would be afraid for her like I was for her 1st viewing of "The Thing"😆😂🤣😃😄😅

lighthousebum

I agree that Cassie and Carly would both love Cocoon and Sister Act. And I think 48 hrs is an absolute classic. But Last Action Hero got my vote because it's so underrated. Cassie has seen enough action flicks now to truly get the jokes. Most audiences didn't like it because the movie is literally making fun of the audience and action movies. I'm thinking maybe Cassie won't take it too seriously and just enjoy the ride. 😁

Just Plain Bob

Cassie was concerned about the use of the word “mutant” to describe a fictional set of characters in a comic book movie. I can’t imagine how she would react to the racial epithets thrown around in “48 Hrs.” I watched it in theaters as a young teen and think it’s a great blend of cop drama and comedy. But I suspect she’d hate it.

Larry Darrell

I just remembered Frank McRae. He’s playing basically the same character in 48 Hrs. & Last Action Hero. That would be a cool Double Feature. Edit: Dang. Totally forgot about Loaded Weapon 1 (1993). We could make it a Trilogy… The Angry Captain Trilogy of Frank McRae

DWG15

Let the Right One In is the best, but also the least known. Joker and Cocoon are also eventual must-watches. Last Action Hero is fine, though, so I won't mind if that wins.

Clay F

I am not a fan of Last Action Hero or Bad Boys. I am a fan of Bad Boys (1983) but that is not in the poll. I voted for these 6: --48 Hours --Let the Right One In --Charade --Joker (for the Joaquin Phoenix peformance) --Fatal Attraction --Cocoon Cocoon is unavailable to stream in the US. My guess is most of her patrons don't have the DVD and would not buy the DVD -- and thus would not watch the full reaction.

Clay F
>>136043119

Yeah, I am all for Total Recall but not Last Action Hero. I voted 48 Hours and Joker.

Clay F
>>136037987

Yeah, but what about us who would want to watch the full reaction? Buy a DVD just for the reaction? I guess I could break out my Xbox to play it. I wouldn't mind seeing Cocoon again. I stream everything. Cocoon is unavailable to stream in the US. Thus, to watch the full reaction, her patrons would need a physical copy and a device to play the physical copy.

Clay F
>>136037860

Cocoon is unavailable to stream in the US. My guess is most of her patrons don't have the DVD and would not buy the DVD. Thus, the audience of her full reaction would be light.

Bill Maurer
>>136036736

One of the many great quotes in that movie. Will leave some of the others out since this is a PG-13 message board

John Cranberry

Fatal attraction is the better film to watch

Chris Retzlaff

Cocoon is right up Cassies ally, after three mem and a baby for gutenburg, and another side to Brian Denahy then Rambo

Richard Maurer

Last Action Hero? I've already lost most of my faith in the patrons to choose the right movie, do you have to destroy what little I have left? Let the Right One In / Joker

Richard Maurer
>>136036609

Cassie should react to a bunch of other movies that are not in this poll - Okkkkaaaayyyyyy.

Larry Darrell
>>136057346

Wonder if Cassie would remember Don Ameche from Trading Places, Wilford Brimley from The Thing and Jessica Tandy from The Birds?

Richard Maurer
>>136037987

Cocoon's unavailability makes people want it more than it deserves. If it were easy to get people wouldn't care that much. It's a pretty good film, but doesn't deserve the hype it gets. There, I said what needed to be said.

Richard Maurer
>>136039801

How about all 6000+ films that that have one or more votes? Let's really have some random fun!

Richard Maurer
>>136040789

I hear that someone has been pushing for a Classic Horror poll. Great, some would say brilliant even, idea.

Richard Maurer
>>136053920

I was with you up till the words "Last Action Hero is fine, though, so I won't mind if that wins", that's where you lost me.

Larry Darrell
>>136058272

Hey, there are lots of things worse than a “bad” movie: politicians, wars, forest fires, famine, plague, sickness, pain, warts, politicians...

Richard Maurer
>>136058272

Well larry, it's fortunate that none of those things made the poll. But if they had I would have voted plague,

Cole Jennett
>>136050618

Give it another shot Dan. We are usually on the same page😉. I don’t love it, but I had a good time with it, and think she will too

warcrimes

Sister Act? you fucking kidding me? lol

Daniel Johnson

I’m really happy to see Last Action Hero is winning. I think Cassie’s going to love it. I don’t understand why anyone would be voting for Joker. It was a great movie, but there’s no chance she’s going to like it. You guys need to vote for movies that are good, but also ones she’s going to like.

Philip Alan
>>136061191

I know I'm going to get poo poo'd on when I say/write this. I really don't vote for movies that I think she'll like. Eeeeeekkkk (hides).

James UK

Of course it wont even come close to winning, but I’m voting for Charade.

Todzilla
>>136061191

I totally agree with you yet totally disagree at the same time. I agree Last Action Hero should win. I always hope she likes these movies, but sometimes she surprises me. Batman and Big Trouble in Little China are perfect examples. However I also don't vote if she will like something, I vote because I think it will be a great reaction. I also think she won't like Joker, but I don't want he to watch it because it kinda sucks LOL Joker is a weak version of "Taxi Driver". "Taxi Driver" IS a movie I want Cassie to watch because it's classic. It has De Niro in an awesome role. I doubt she will like it either, but it's way better than Joker.

pinkdino99

Cocoon is just a lovely film. It always surprises me how much I actually like that film.

Brian McGovern
>>136062119

And unavailable it is unless you already own it. I do not think it is available anywhere online.

rakesh
>>136050618

Stick with your gut Dan! Last action movie was terrible. 30 years haven't helped it.

rakesh

Wait a minute. Bad boys is nearly 30 years old? What? How! Why! What year is this??????

AC5555

More foreign films and oldies again especially plz.

Ria Grix

Let the right one in is a great movie and really nice to see a European (non English speaking) movie on the list.

rakesh

Wildcard winner was Total Recall. So at least she'll be able to watch a good Arnie movie.

AC5555
>>136064884

💯. 2 or 3 oldies too. The Hitchcock series she began is discontinued indefinitely ☠️ I watched thirty Hitchcock films in a month back in 2020 lolz

AC5555
>>136061689

I’m desperate for her to see more old movies again and to make that more consistent part of her channel again.

Dan M
>>136050618

Its got a comfortable lead in the poll, so I guess only time will tell. But I’m definitely open to a fresh take on the movie. I’d still rather Cassie watch Cocoon or Sister Act though 😁

djKENTO
>>136066810

Last Action Hero RIPS. It’s so fun. McTiernan just goofing off. I’m glad it exists. Also Tom Noonan is always welcome.

djKENTO

I think Carly might actually like Last Action Hero too. It’s so fun. Maybe see if she can join.

WastedPo
>>136060560

Sister Act is a good movie. Also, it's virtually guaranteed that Cassie would enjoy it.

pat on

Last Action Hero is the only decent movie here.

jdj830
>>136047040

I remember we had a bit of a disagreement over Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro overture. I love that piece but it had already been used in a ton of movies (like Willy Wonka and Trading Places) and I thought it was in danger of becoming a cliché. (They actually left it out of Amadeus for that reason.) But it was on one of the CDs I gave them, though it wasn’t one of the tracks I recommended. But they found it and used it anyway. Sigh. They did use a bit of William Walton’s score for Laurence Olivier’s Hamlet, which I also suggested.

Rogue_ML

this poll and the results are depressing..

Richard Maurer
>>136037084

LAH is weird in that it's both not as bad as the people who hate it say, and not as good as the people who love it say. My own take it that it was an interesting idea that wasn't executed particularly well.

Javier Hernandez

Let The Right One In (or its English remake Let Me In) is fantastic but maybe save for October. You would love Cocoon.

Richard Maurer
>>136060560

@ WastedPo - your first sentence is debatable. Your second sentence is both likely true and not necessarily a reason to vote for it.

Richard Maurer
>>136064884

As much as agree with you guys, monthly foreign and/or classic films are not happening, not as long as YT is a consideration, anyway.

Georges Jarjour

Yep..Cocoon and Sister Act with Carly. Definitely.

Paul Browne

My vote goes for LET THE RIGHT ONE IN. Unusual take on a tried and tested genre. Still think about it years after seeing it. Not that keen in most of the rest here, but I will admit to liking THE LAST ACTION HERO more after a second viewing years later. Was probably unfairly maligned at the time of release.

Chris Thom

Fatal Attraction is so classically 80's. Solid thriller. Your reactions to thrillers are some of the best on the channel imo. Let the Right One In is fantastic...but I think the remake may be more your speed. Not that you'd be all that into either of them. Cocoon seems inevitable on here.

Ted Little

Charade is a classic comedy mystery with Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. It is widely considered the best Hitchcock film not directed by Hitchcock. You would love it!

Chris Thom
>>136074912

She gets so damn grumpy on The View. Would be nice to see her in happier times.

Chris Thom
>>136066810

Fun Fact: Cassie already reacted to a three-boobed character on the channel.

brooke atkins
>>136038068

Apparently everyone in here hates that franchise. 🤦‍♀️ don’t understand it. That movie is hilarious. I’m gonna chalk it up to a difference in generations. The older generations don’t like those kinda movies. Lots of people in here wanting all black and white movies. I’m not against that I just think it should be switched up sometimes. Hopefully all this Star Trek is gonna be done soon. That will free up a day for her to watch more movies.

Justin Samlal

I voted for Let the Right One in because I absolutely love it when Cassie does horror

rakesh
>>136074912

I tell you a good Whoopi Movie. Jumpin' Jack Flash. Its kind of a love story with hijinks, but i think overall a great movie.

Story Archer

Not knocking The Last Action Hero, but I am REALLY surprised to see it doing so well on this poll...

Daniel Johnson
>>136058272

Yeah, that’s brilliant, Richard. You voted for two movies that you know Cassie is going hate. What a waste.

ContrabandDonut

I don't feel strongly enough about any of those movies to vote, so I will not vote. I can make arguments that Cassie would enjoy any of them.

Richard Maurer
>>136058272

It doesn't matter if she hates them. Voting for only movies Cassie will like, that sure is "brilliant".

Cody Nelson

I'm really surprised to see Last Action Hero winning so far. Not that I'm complaining since it's the one I voted for. :)

Marja
>>136087185

Which is why I voted for it! Clever, sophisticated, charming, suspenseful, and it’s Paris with Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn, plus a Cracker Jack supporting cast.

Marja
>>136085375

Do we know if it’s the Swedish version? I would hope so!

JC762
>>136039942

LAH. It’s kinda dumb and silly, but on purpose. I think it has some clever gags and a few moments of clever satire. Will she enjoy it and have a fun reaction? really hard to say. It could go either way!

Clay F
>>136061191

I am hoping in the remaining 2 days of the poll that the 4th-place Joker surges to 1st place. I am not a huge fan of the Joker but I am not a fan of Last Action Hero. Taxi Driver is awesome.

Clay F

I am hoping in the remaining 2 days of the poll that the 4th-place Joker surges to 1st place. I am not a huge fan of Joker but prefer that over the current top 3. Joker approaching overcoming 3rd place Bad Boys.

@Todzilla: I didn't vote for JOKER myself because I also would prefer Cassie do a reaction to the movies that inspired it (like TAXI DRIVER and KING OF COMEDY) first. I don't think she will necessarily like them, but they are great films and worth seeing.

Walter

Charade is a classic and should rank higher. Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn (and a great extended cast) - THIS is. A Cassie movie. Part thriller, part romance, all class with fantastic dialogue.

Last action hero is swartznegger's worst flim ever even he wants to forget he did it. Might as well do a Marvel poll an vote the first marvel flim Howard the duck. Also the worst flim of all time.

"It doesn't matter if she hates them." Richard Maurer, that's where I disagree with you. There's an argument for watching an important film one might not "enjoy", but it should definitely be taken into account.

DAVID COSTELLO

Too bad Charade is doing so badly. Elements of Hitchcock and romance. Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant are spectacular.

Daniel Johnson
>>136061191

I just don’t understand your thought process. What’s the point in voting for a movie you know she won’t like? That makes no sense. Why not vote for a great movie you know she’ll like?

Paul Rich

I have to go with Cocoon. The elderly human actors outshine the aliens and make this film unique, heartwarming and funny in this "fountain of youth" story, more fantasy genre than sci-fi. 2 Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor and Visual Effects. Fatal Attraction did make every man think twice about having and extra-marital affair but the rabbit scene is just too horrific.

Jason Murawski

Can I vote to take votes away from Joker

Truly shocked by the results... Last Action Hero? Really?

D. T. Nelson

I'd prefer to choose Cocoon (Of all the movies on the poll, it is my favorite, and a great Ron Howard movie), but unless anyone has a personal VHS or DVD copy of the film they wouldn't be able to watch along. The only bluray versions are pirated copies coming from places like India and China and are nothing more than the DVD version reformatted to 1080p (but not really HD); also the movie isn't streaming anywhere—not even on Disney who owns the rights. SO, I'll go with Sister Act. It's the only movie on this poll I own and the one I think Cassie would like the most.

Richard Maurer
>>136058272

I was in a hurry when when I wrote that comment. Should have wrote - It doesn't matter if she hates them, it's her reaction to them that matters. Her reaction to The Crow is one of my all time favorite reactions of Cassie's, and while she didn't hate it she certainly didn't love it either. Also, I don't only enjoy her reactions to films she doesn't love. Cassie's reactions to the 3 Lord of the Rings movies are my all-time favorite reactions. By anyone. Ever.

Mark Daniels

I've only seen two movies on this poll. Joker and The Last Action Hero. One of them was pretty good and the other was not. Its nice to see an underdog win though, it gives me hope my underdog will one day win one.

Sister Act is one of those movies I rewatch every year when I need a pick-me-up. I hope it wins and I can experience it this year with Cassie and Carly!

Chris Retzlaff

I was all about Cocoon, but you made a good point for the full watch along, it's free on Sling, but that's with ads. I do have a copy, but most don't. They need to figure this copyrighted music thing out.

RJ MacReady

I have to admit I am disheartened seeing Joke with so many votes. I just didn't think it was a good movie at all.

Nick Ireland
>>136061191

We don't know for sure what Cassie will or won't like, so that isn't an important factor for me when voting. She seems to like the vast majority of the movies she watches anyway, so I vote for the movie(s) I'd be happy to sit through again. Regardless of personal opinions on the movies on the list, I think it's possible she could watch and love any of them. Who knows!

Whether she likes the movie or not doesn't interest me. As long as the movie creates fantastic reactions, I'm here for it. There are literally DOZENS of movies that I love that she has watched and she was meh with the reactions, but loved the movie. Not my cup of tea. I swear I thought she would HATE Mad Max Fury Road, but she loved it. And it was a fantastic movie to react to. You just never know. Point is... I don't want to watch her sitting there for two hours enjoying the movie. hahaha! (hides)

yes, he's done a lot of bad movies and Last Action Hero truly ranks among them. Terrible movie. But opinions vary. However, Twins is a very good comedy and I won't stand to see it included on Arnold's shame list.

Richard Maurer
>>136061191

I swear some people would be fine if she watched nothing but rom-coms and other chick flicks, just as long it meant she was sure to love the movie. Don't you people ever want to see her try something different, outside her comfort zone? To take a chance? She would never have seen (and ENJOYED) movies like 300, Kill Bill, and Mad Max Fury Road if we all played it safe like you people do. But maybe that's the point, you really don't want to see her enjoy movies like that, because maybe it forces you to change your perception of who she is?

Richard Maurer

Weird poll. There's usually something in the top three I would consider changing my vote for, but not this time. Literally every other film in the poll would be a better choice than those three (imo). Now if the poll were just those films and I was somehow forced to vote in it (I wouldn't bother voting otherwise) I would end up voting for Last Action Hero as at least it has a interesting concept, even if it didn't use that idea very well. In the hands of a better writer and better director it could have been a good movie. Sister Act and Bad Boys however, are just cookie cutter hollywood fair that we've seen too many times before.

Daniel Johnson
>>136061191

Damn, Richard, you sound so pretentious. You sound like me when I was 20, taking film classes on Japanese cinema of the 1960s and judging people who liked Fast and Furious or Adam Sandler movies It doesn’t even matter to you that the reactions to movies Cassie doesn’t like suck. You can actually see the disinterest and uncomfortableness on her face. But you would rather someone watch a movie they don’t like because it’s more culturally significant in your eyes. I think it elevates your self-worth to introduce someone to a movie you deem acceptable.

Christopher B.

Warms my heart to see Last Action Hero getting so much love, I've always felt the movies get too often overlooked when discussing Schwarzenegger's all-timers.

Richard Maurer
>>136061191

Nice attempt at gaslighting, but there's literally nothing pretentious about my statement. All the movies I mentioned are mainstream movies. They just don't fall within the boundaries of what you, and others like you, find acceptable for Cassie to watch. For some reason you can't take the chance of Cassie watching a movie she won't enjoy, so you make the safest choices possible. This is boring for the rest of us, and worse, subverts Cassie's own mission statement for the channel - to expand her horizons beyond her comfort zone. I will say this once again - I vote for the movies I think are the best ones in the poll, period. I give zero consideration as to whether or not Cassie will like or hate them.

Stick Figure Studios

CHARADE is, as they say, the best Hitchcock movie that Hitchcock never made. Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn and Walter Matthau are all great.

Stick Figure Studios

As a friend of mine aptly put it, TWINS is a poster in search of a movie. It has the look and feel of an effort that was phoned in, which it might have been, with filming taking place during all but four weeks of the WGA strike of 1988. A confoundingly big commercial hit, the marketing department at Universal Pictures earned their lunch money, but without any union members available to work on a script that is anemic in character and story, funny situations, or compelling drama, TWINS makes ‘80s TV sitcoms like FULL HOUSE or PERFECT STRANGERS seem like masterclasses in comedy. Written by William Davies & William Osborne and Herschel Weingrod & Timothy Harris and William Goldman (the WGA credited all but Goldman, who claimed to have contributed two ideas), it’s not fair to say the movie has one joke. It has two jokes: Arnold & DeVito are twins, and Arnold is super strong. Schwarzenegger demonstrates he could star in a comedy, which anyone who’d seen CONAN THE BARBARIAN knew already (this was actually my first Arnold Schwarzenegger movie and I was 12 years old, so I was just the right age to like it). Good feelings are substituted for humor, which would’ve required Arnold suffer obstacles or misfortune in a way this family-friendly situation comedy does not. For the record, I don't hate it and there are movies on that list that are worse, but it is not good. It's the sort of movie teenagers could use to justify spending two hours together in the dark without parental supervision, where being entertained by a movie was not a top priority. Compared to TWINS, LAST ACTION HERO is a work of art. If you like TWINS, that's fine. I'm not going to try to convince you, but I definitely consider it one of Arnie's weaker efforts. My point through all of this is that anyone who says LAST ACTION HERO is his worst movie just doesn't know what they're talking about... especially if they think it is "the worst movie of all time." That is so crushingly wrong that it makes them sound like they've seen maybe 20 movies at most.

Stick Figure Studios
>>136039942

Yeah, it's definitely has it's dumb parts, but at least it is self-aware about them and I respect what they were trying to do in terms of sending up the action genre (even if they weren't entirely successful at it). Still, there's enough stuff to enjoy there to make for a fun reaction I think.

Daniel Johnson
>>136061191

No, I’m not gaslighting you. I’m going off of what you’ve written here and throughout the message board. Maybe you’re not self-aware enough to realize you come off as very pretentious, arrogant, and extremely unlikeable. I never said you should only vote for the safe choices. You wanna talk about who’s doing the gaslighting? I just said it makes no sense to pick a movie like Joker, which there’s a 90% chance she won’t like. You’re just such a pretentious snob that you can’t handle a movie like Last Action Hero winning the poll. “Last Action Hero? I've already lost most of my faith in the patrons to choose the right movie, do you have to destroy what little I have left? Let the Right One In / Joker.” That’s a quote from you a couple of days ago. Can you honestly read that a tell me this guy isn’t a pretentious snob? Let the Right One In? Joker? Are you serious? There’s almost no chance she’ll like either of those movies, she’ll be visibly uncomfortable throughout the entire movie, and it won’t be an enjoyable reaction. But that’s fine. You have your opinion and I’ll have mine. I really don’t have the time or energy to keep going back and forth with you.

Larry Darrell
>>136053901

I would hope so. Licence to Kill is one of my Top 3 favorite Bond films, because like I’ve said before… I believe Licence to Kill is a Perfect Ending to a James Bond story arc that started with Sean Connery in Dr. No, and continued through George Lazenby, Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton. It still bugs me that Cassie and Carly, at the time of viewing, were under the impression that, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, was a one-off film, not connected with the others. Hopefully, at least Cassie will come back and see the other films and hopefully realize that they are all connected. There are more character building blocks to be seen. There were many reasons the films seem disconnected. They were made so that anyone watching one of the films, who had not seen any of the previous films, could still enjoy it and not feel lost. However, that does not mean the films were disconnected. I keep thinking, I’m gonna write a big essay explaining all these reasons and Send it to her. One day. The overall Story in the original 16 films is way better than the “connected” story of Daniel Craig’s Bond. That’s it. I gotta stop. I can ramble on about James Bond all day.

Richard Maurer
>>136061191

Lol, someone's not handling this well, and it's not me. I'm "very pretentious, arrogant, and extremely unlikeable" because I disagree with your opinions apparently, as I don't really see anyone else calling me any of those things. "I never said you should only vote for the safe choices" - "I just said it makes no sense to pick a movie like Joker, which there’s a 90% chance she won’t like" So, basically, you don't make safe choices, as long as it's not a movie you don't think Cassie will like? OK. 'You’re just such a pretentious snob that you can’t handle a movie like Last Action Hero winning the poll." I don't like the movie, I think it's one of the worst movies in the poll. Why would I want to see it win? And how exactly am I pretentious because I don't like a certain movie? Lots of people don't like LAH, are they all just "pretentious snobs" too? In your op you yourself said we should vote for movies we think are good - which I did, I just make no assumptions on what Cassie will think of the movies I vote.for. But I'm handling it just fine, haven't lost any sleep over it so far lol. I will say this though, your posts sure are good for a laugh. (by the way, you might want to watch the personal attacks, someone more thin-skinned might be bothered by them and block/report you. "You have a got a four alarm fire going on here. I have friends who have told me they won't join your channel because there haven't been, any minority movies for nine months." Calling BS. Nobody is saying that. And if people really are refusing to subscribe because Cassie doesn't watch enough movies with black people then those people suck. People didn't choose this poll over the Denzel poll because we're racist and the insinuation is absurd. "Bad Boys is the only minority movie on this poll Sister Act is at least a church savior movie that came in second I see some people complaining about the two movies on this poll with minority characters. WTF?" Ok? Are people complaining about the races of the characters or are we just not allowed to criticize people belonging to certain backgrounds? People are complaining about The Last Action Hero too.

Literally haven't seen Last Action Hero since it came out on video in 1993. Don't remember much about it except it was kind of an introduction to 'meta'. Disagreeing with your statement that White Men Can't Jump doesn't count when most of actors in it are minority actors. Can't just dismiss it by saying it falls in some other random category. It also doesn't make sense using this particular poll as an example just because those movies you pointed out finished in 2nd and 3rd place (out of 9 choices). The only thing this, and most of the other polls, indicate is that the older classics aren't likely to win. She has seen several Denzel movies on this channel: Glory, Philadelphia, Crimson Tide, Courage Under Fire, The Inside Man, The Equalizer and The Magnificent 7.

Richard Maurer
>>136348138

I can't t speak for others but the reason I complained about the top three movies in the poll is because I think they're the worst three movies in the poll. I never even considered the race of the leads till you mentioned it. But now that you have, I still think they're the worst three movies in the poll - mediocre, at best.

Larry Darrell
>>136348138

This is the wrong way to look at things. Picking films or polls just because they have more “minority” people in them, is equally wrong. The films that Cassie and everyone else chooses should be based on the merit of the films, and not on the color of skin of the people starring in them. We are All Equal in This World. "I’m going to stop calling you a white man. And I’m going to ask you to stop calling me a black man." — Morgan Freeman Imagine kids, of all types of skin colors and cultures, being born today in America, and growing up in America over the next 20+ years… never thinking that they were “different” than their peers, but knowing that they were All Americans with all the Same Opportunities.

This is the most unhinged, bizarre rant I've ever seen on this channel. The white actress Sharon Tate, was killed by a group of white psychopaths because the Beatles put out an album with a white cover? Just because one song on that album, Helter Skelter, was adopted by their leader? The song didn't even have anything to do with death or murder; it was about a child's amusement park ride. Manson was a psychopath! We can agree that there are many great movies out there that were made by, and feature, Hollywood's minorities, but your attempt to shame Cassie into watching them is mean-spirited and unnecessary.

Larry Darrell

Please don't ask the members of this community to recommend or vote for a film based on the skin color, race, gender, sexual orientation or religious belief of the actors, producers, directors, or others involved with the film. Cassie does, at her discretion, watch films specifically suited for certain events like Black History Month and others, but the criteria Cassie is always going to use in selecting the films she reacts to will be by most suggested and by winning polls . Don't bring race, religion, or politics into the equation. You'll be violating the community guidelines as well as upsetting yourself. We don't want that for you or for the community. Continue to push for the films you enjoy, and hopefully they will get their day in the sun. Best of luck!
