Brent Petty

Collateral. IIRC, you said you were going to react to it anyway.

rakesh

Ahhhhhhhh sophies choice. I'm going for training day... But really they are all top notch. Not a bad pick among them.

Tinker

Twins is a great comedy. Love a funny Arnold.

William Bryan

Starship just to see Denise Richards

Athan Immortal

Oh man, between Starship Troopers or Collateral for me, and for both of them we'd need Carly :D (Edit, OK I went Starship Troopers, but please pull Carly in on that one :) )

Josh Hobbs

Training Day for sure. Denzel's second Oscar, first for Best Actor.

LDC7080

Very diverse poll. The devil in me would like to see the starship trooper reaction but I’ve been kind and voted for twins .

Alex Villarreal

Some cool ‘90s movies on here! One cool ‘90s action movie with Sly Stallone that would definitely make a great reaction one day is CLIFFHANGER.

Mike LL

I voted for Face/Off, just to see Cassie's reaction to the "dynamic" between John Travolta and Nicholas Cage!

Philip Alan

Great movies to react to, for sure! Starship Troopers, duh! Edited to add: The Professional is my favorite movie on this poll. But I'm here for the obvious awesome reaction to Starship Troopers. So I'll take a hit.

Brett Richey

Hard to choose, but Leon is just ahead for me. However, watch the theatrical as the Director's cut may weird you out a little.

R F.

Tough choice. Never thought Collateral would be so highly regarded.

Mike LL

Fantastic idea for a poll! Let's have more of these!

Louis Chapman

I want to vote training day, that's the only movie here I believe with an Oscar. But I think you'll enjoy Collateral more.

Doc Larry

One of the movies on your list Denzel Washington won Best actor Academy award for. I won’t say which one.

Above Average Dave

COLLATERAL is perhaps Tom Cruise's most brilliant performance. Jamie Foxx and Mark Ruffalo are also excellent.

Steven Tarr

I had to vote for starship troopers, I want to see Cassie's face when she sees the bugs for the first time

Ty Kellington

The best movie on this poll is currently in last place. What is wrong with you ppl?

Jerrod Acree

Face/Off or Training Day?????!!!! Tough choice!

Scott Souza

Please 🙏 🙏 consider the movie Nobody (2021) For the movies being voted Twins would be cool but hoping for Starship Troopers

LDC7080
>>145014303

Great supporting cast as well with Michael rooker and John lithgow

Gunnar Rea

I could make a case for every one of those movies.. and being able to only vote for one seems cruel..

Carl Hunnicutt

Training day will blow your Denzel mind

Rogue_ML

Collateral is underrated.. excellent movie..

Clarence Newman

Yikes, there are 3 here that I want badly and I can only vote for one. Ironic that Cassie has given us Sophie's Choice without actually giving us Sophie's Choice.

DSM The Editor

Theyre all good! But Cassie will fold for "Twins", Arnold is 100% tender in that one!

Mac61

How about a Poll from the bottom of the list or at least closer to the bottom and give some of them a chance as well.

Jonathan Caro

This is legitimately tough. But come on, TOM CRUISE as the VILLAIN! COLLATERAL!!!

Chris Retzlaff

So I tried to vote for three of these.....one.??? Whatever wins..Twins is a must

Marja
>>145014320

I’m all for scenery chewing (more than I should be) but would love to see Collateral get some exposure.

Cole Jennett

There’s no movie on this poll I wouldn’t be fine with. I’m voting with the movie I think she will enjoy the most in Twins.

James

Training Day and Collateral the two best movies are losing. How??????

G. T. Blackwell

Anything but Collateral. That film's cinematography caused me literal physical pain.

Luke Godfrey

WOW! This is a fantastic poll. I honestly don’t know which movie I want Cassie to watch more. Part of me wants to choose a movie Cassie will enjoy like Twins or Face/Off, the other part of me wants me to choose Leon or Starship Troopers 😈 Think I’ll wait and see what other people choose before voting.

rakesh
>>145014865

Yeah all the ones I've added to planner have 10 or less votes but really good movies. Would be nice to give them some love once in a while.

Marja
>>145014303

My sisters and I have been quoting Leon (the actor, not the movie) and Lithgow for waaaaaayyyyy too long! Fun actioner.

Stephen Minor

The Professional is an outstanding examination of the human condition at the more seedy side. I have seen the movie many times, and it is worth a recation

Zachary K. (Verified Swiftie)

Starship Poopers that's what my friends and I called it. My friends and I saw it in the theater I remember demanding our money back from Carmike Cinema because the movie was so unbelievably bad. They finally gave in after we caused a scene. Haha. Training Day is by far the best but it won't win. I can almost promise you that.

Matt Winchester

Come on, you Apes! You wanna live forever? Pick Starship Troopers! 😄

Adam Doyle

Great movies, I am okay with any of them winning. As far as which one Cassie would like, Twins would be the most wholesome. The rest can get graphic and intense. Leon is my favorite of those and I hope she gets to it too, but some of the themes might be tough to handle.

Michael G

Have to go with the Comedy on this one. Twins

Anjolie Lanel

Collateral! I really like Leon: The Professional. But Tom Cruise is epic in Collateral

Devon Caitlin

Honestly, this poll is a vote for which movie Cassie is gonna watch FIRST. Because there's no way we're letting her watch only one. Cass is such a Tom Cruise fan that it has to be Collateral

Jason Cannon

LEON. A firm fav of mine, but do feel a little guilty for not voting Starship Troopers, or Collateral. I hope that you will get to them eventually anyway.

Mac61

We could also try a decade's poll the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's and so on. This way people who enjoy movies from those time periods have a chance.

K Dub

Training Day but I fear for you.🤔 Not everyone was ready for this Academy Award winning take by Denzel. Collateral would be a slightly easier pill to swallow with this best supporting actor nominated take by Jamie Foxx but Tom Cruise in this one doesn't take it easy on you either...geez...🤯👏🏾👍🏾

Kristin D

I'm really surprised that LEON is not doing better.

James Moy

A case could be made for 5 of these movies although I'm unsure how good a couple would be to react to. Twins has gotten my vote as I think it is a classic Cassie film and it's nice to occasionally make her happy between bouts of horror and trauma. Starship troopers was in every way a bad film even by B movies standards.

Wesley White

Oh man, almost all of these are great movies to react to, especially LEON THE PROFESSIONAL, FACE/OFF, TRAINING DAY, and STARSHIP TROOPERS those are great and I'd vote for all of them if I could lol! Seeing that STARSHIP TROOPERS is winning, I'm not disappointed, though my vote is for Face/OFF, that action movie is a classic and let alone you have it listed as #22 my lucky number lol! I hope eventually you'll get around to reacting to that movie lol! Good choices Cassie, love and support 🥰😁😉👍✌🌹

Shawn Kildal

Starship Troopers is the movie Cassie would enjoy the least. Therefore it's guaranteed to win.

Doc Larry
>>145014445

He’s such a good actor one of the few movie stars still around. You’re correct he deserved an academy award for hurricane!

Stephen Last

I voted for Starship Troopers. A great cult classic. It is meant as a satire of fascism but the original book was not a satire. Robert Heinlein is a great Sci Fi author and can switch gears easily. When critics thought he was pro fascist, he wrote A Stranger in a Strange Land which is very far from Fascism and more Hippy Free Love. I mean it was written in the 60s. lol.

Joe

Starship Troopers only to hear Cassie say "Ew...Ew...EW!"

Choof

My favorite movie on this list is Starship Troopers, but I also like to see Cassie have a good time so I'm conflicted

Henry Graham

Collateral! It would be great to see firm Cruise fans like Cassie and Carly check that one out. It's one of his very best films and performances.

Joe

I voted for Collateral, but I'm guessing Cassie will watch the winner and runner-up.

_tragicmike
>>145015952

Yeah, I feel like people either vote for their personal favorite irrespective of Cassie's taste or they like to see her suffer.

_tragicmike
>>145015653

It got my vote! It might be a challenging movie for Cassie, but I can see her ending up liking it. Starship Troopers on the other hand...

Jennifer Medicus

I love the absurdity of Starship Troopers but I really don't think Cassie will like it.

shaneth138

The results of a PIB poll never ceases to disappoint me lmao. It's always the one I care about the least that wins, and the one I want the most is in last. 😆

shaneth138
>>145015521

She does more old movies than anyone though. She has only done one movie that came out after 2010 since February.

Clarence Newman

On the grounds that Cassie has watched a lot of space stuff lately, I am naysaying Starship Troopers. In fact, if Twins does not win, I may self-harm.

Chris Thom

Oh come on...Cassie needs more unhinged Nic Cage in her life! It's a 90's classic!

G J HAYWARD

Leon aka the professional is Gary Oldman at his best

p0sthum4n

I honestly never get tired of seeing people choose violence for Cassie

p0sthum4n
>>145015952

Fully admit that watching her get exposed to violent movies she never would have otherwise seen was always hilarious to me and the original draw of her channel for me

Omar

Imma have to sit here and watch Training Day and Face Off lose to *these* films? 😂🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️😂😂

Raj K. Dixit

Collateral is a great film and it showcases Tom Cruise in a totally different light than usual. Awesome movie.

Eric Wallace

Collateral had to have Cassie as its a Tom Cruise movie!

Mario

I really don't think Leon should receive the praise it gets if you consider the subject matter, the director (and writer) of this film and who the main characters are based on.

Brian McGovern
>>145015952

Leon has a particularly disturbing plot element that Cassie would have issues with. If she watches the extended version, that particular element is explored a little more. It is even more disturbing when you realise the writer director himself was involved in what many would consider an inappropriate relatiomship.

Patrick Crippen

How are ANY of these films in the top 1000 ??? Let alone the top 25...ughhh lol

Mario
>>145015952

I felt like this was most evident with IT but she got through it eventually.

SnabbKassa

I don't usually complain about what people pick because it is up to them, but Training Day is the kind of depressing and repulsively disgusting film that Cassie will hate. The immorality makes most of the characters in Pulp Fiction look like saints by comparison. I wish I had never seen it. But it's not the only movie here that will have her turning away from the screen in disgust.

Mario
>>145014865

I've suggested this before, but didn't get much traction, that Cassie should hold these polls more often. At least that way she can put a dent on the top 100 list and movies lower on the list can start moving up the ladder.

SnabbKassa
>>145017556

Well, yes, but it's because people only want to watch reactions to movies that they have already seen, and more people have seen the popular movies, so they win.

Mike Lemon

I'm giving Richard credit for this poll, but I have to chuckle- pushing for over a year for a classic horror poll- nothing, post about needing to see more of the top movies on Popcorn Request a day ago and it happens immediately. Too funny.

Yaisu

I was going to pick Twins because the film is delightful and Cassie would love it but then I saw Starship Troopers and knew what must be done.

JohnnyUtah

Um you should be watching all of these. Lol. Toughest poll yet

Blake Evans

I picked Leon since I think it’s the overall best film on the list. But all of these are great and a must-watch. Hopefully you get to see them all by the end of the year.

Wes

Omg these are all awesome. Please watch all 🙌

John Liebling

Cassie, if you watch what's winning now...my opinion is that it's a sci fi movie not for you, you'd like it the least, from the list above.

Uncle Phoenix

I really wish Cassie would start ranking the films that she watched, because it is hard to predict what she will and will not like.

Chris Thom
>>145019269

Showgirls would pair quite well with Troopers. I mean it wouldn't, but it also needs to be done.

Jessie Fenton

Leon The Professional is a must watch.

John Liebling

Not on the list if you have a taste for more science fiction try Enemy Mine.

Ria Grix

I retract my Leon vote (after a little read on Wikipedia about Luc Besson) and I now recast my vote for Twins, because I think Cassie will find it great fun.

Stranger2Reality

I just want to say, it warms my heart to see Face/Off in last place. If more people enjoyed it in an ironic way like they do with Con Air that would be fine, but for some reason ever since it was released there have been this large contingent that thinks it's some kind of actually good film, or like an "action classic" like it's Die Hard or whatever. That movie is pure camp and silliness, like a 90s Commando. It's not to be taken seriously (even if the filmmakers meant it seriously). And if you read this and think "who takes that movie seriously?" go look at the reviews for it when it came out, or just look at its 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes (Con Air: 53%, Die Hard: 94%). How anyone can take a movie as ridiculous as Face/Off seriously is beyond me. Laugh at how absurd it is, by all means, and enjoy the over the top camp of it, but that movie is ridiculous.

John Drake

Twins would obviously be the most enjoyable for Cassie, but when did that ever get in the way of choosing movies for her! Many of my favourites, but some include young kids being killed which will distress her, and others are excessive gore/ violence, so I think Collateral would be a good fit. And then Twins to lift her spirits afterwards ....

Dan M

Once again it seems like the majority of the PIB community want to see Cassie get grossed out and cringe through half of Starship Troopers. Not that its a bad movie, but definitely one that will leave her craving for a feel good movie. Which is why my vote goes to Twins. Arnold Schwarzenegger teaming up with Danny Devito in a funny and heartwarming movie. It has Cassie’s name written all over it.

DAVID COSTELLO

I picked Twins for the comedy, and she loves Arnold

mikethemotormouth

Not one bad pick among this bunch but I have to go with Number 12

Cole Jennett
>>145014865

The goal of the channel is to get views. That’s probably the reason why. Like Mario said, you have to get through the popular ones to get to those

JL_83

After we got reactions to The Rock and Con Air I was eagerly awaiting a Face/Off reaction so as to complete the Nicolas Cage 90s action trilogy, but the poll will ultimately decide what it is

N M

Zzzzzzz

N M
>>145019941

Are we trying to find movies that she will like? Or which will illicit an entertaining reaction? I keep forgetting why I’m a subscriber.

Steve Holton
>>145015653

Leon is a great film, but in every version, American and International, it violates a no go rule for the channel in its first 30 minutes. So many are probably thinking that would derail the reaction in some unenjoyable way.

ShazD

Starship Troopers is one of my favourite movies of all time and Denise Richards in that movie just almost almost turned me away from a life of unadulterated gayness.

YodatheHobbit

Troopers is really good, but winning in THIS poll? Really? Lots of good movies here. I'd personally LOVE to see a Face/Off reaction right now cause the movie is so silly fun.

Dean Holt

Picked Twins because I think Cassie will really enjoy it. Quite surprised to see Starship Troopers winning tbh, its a good film for what it is. I could be wrong but I really don’t think she’s going to like it that much I can see it being another Batman 89. Also I’d never thought I’d ever see Training Day get beaten by ST.

YodatheHobbit
>>145020497

For it's stunt work, even though the movie is so silly, it honestly IS an action classic. it's John Woo!

YodatheHobbit
>>145019941

Ranking isn't required to tell is someone liked something. It's such a silly concept as if art is a competition. People have words which they use which tell you if they liked it. Only listening to them is required.

Mario
>>145014865

@Cole Jennett, I think Cassie has said in the past that she will sometimes watch movies she knows won't get as much views but does it anyway because she wants to. So I'm not sure if views is as big of a priority as people make it out to be (but it all probably balances out anyways). With that said, you also have movies like Beverly Hills Cop, which has been ranked #1 since December/January. I would think if a movie held onto the top spot for as long as that has, the demand for reaction is there and yet it doesn't appear to be any closer to a reaction than any of the other movies in the top 100.

Wrench_In_The_Works
>>145023724

Yes! Agreed! (Training Day is EPIC) but Cassie! I think you will LOVE Twins! This was Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first comedy and the studio did not want to take a chance on it because they didn’t think it would fly so he agreed to take zero salary and then just take 20% of the gross receipts at the end so they had no risk and it ended up being a box office smash! Schwarzenegger ended up netting over $35 million for this movie because it was a blockbuster and that far exceeded what his salary would’ve been at the beginning

Dean Holt
>>145020094

Good movie, I’d also love to see her react to Innerspace and The last Starfighter. In fact would be awesome to see a Sci-fi 80s weekend.

Mario
>>145019941

I think if someone has been following her channel, even for a little bit, you get a pretty decent idea what movies she prefers and which will be pushing the boundary (she has stated in the past she doesn't mind expanding her horizon though).

Stan the Man

It’s interesting to see what people want from Cassie. Personally I don’t care if she liked the movie or not. What I want is a fun and interesting reaction. Starship Troopers is FOR SURE going to be a fun and interesting reaction. Twins will be a normal and I’m sure fine reaction. But Starship Troopers will be LEGENDARY

Just Plain Bob

The comments on these polls are frequently interesting. A prevailing theme for many seems to be “we should only vote for movies we think Cassie will like.” I disagree with this sentiment vehemently. First of all, I think Cassie has surprised just about everyone from time to time by enjoying movies we may have thought she’d dislike. Second, and more importantly, Cassie has said repeatedly that one of the purposes of her reactions is to watch movies she would not have otherwise watched - expanding her film horizons. How does only recommending/voting for movies we think she’ll like help her expand her horizons? I’m not opposed to recommending or voting for a movie that you believe Cassie will like (particularly if you think she might not otherwise watch it), but think it’s silly to make that your chief criteria.

Dean Holt
>>145023724

Wow I didn’t know that he had done that deal for Twins. Another reason why the studios shouldn’t interfere with the filmmakers. It’s a bit like taking a car to a garage to get fixed. Then telling the guy what to do to fix it and then wounding why it doesn’t work when you get it back 😂😂

Joel Cagle
>>145023070

Well that is the ultimate argument with this movie isn't it 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yaisu
>>145019269

Pretty sure that one would have to be a patron only watch

Björn Karlsson
>>145025611

If she REALLY wants to expand her horizons, then I know a film that will do that job 😇😇😇

Richard Maurer
>>145025611

Agree 100%. I only vote for whichever movie I like best in the poll. As to Cassie liking it or not, I leave that up to her.

Walter

Starship Troopers??? Of course. The last thing I’d pick usually ends up on top of the polls.

shaneth138
>>145017556

Yeah but the movie I am hoping for is usually one of the most popular movies if not the definitive most popular. PIB polls usually go to the older movies or more high brow movies. (not that Starship Troopers is highbrow) I wanted Face Off to win, which is by far the most popular in terms of box office yet it is dead last in the poll. So I definitely don't agree with your take that the most popular usually wins.

Eddie Perkins

Leon the Professional is the best here, and then I would pick Collateral, then Twins.

shaneth138
>>145022098

The fact that Face Off is dead last is just so disheartening lol. It's easily the best "reaction movie" on the list. I truly don't get the appeal of Starship Troopers at all.

Ricardo Rodriguez

Guys STOP!!! Cassie is not going to like Starship Troopers. She would like Collateral or Twins!

Richard Maurer

I've been hoping Popcorn Requests would be used more, and this is a nice start - BUT - random picks from the top 25 movies? Wow, lets not get too crazy here! Seriously though, as much as I'd like to see the random picks from all 6000+ movies on the poll, I didn't really expect that to happen. But how about getting a little crazy with say the top 1000? 500? At least 250 anyway. Top 25 seems a little too safe to really be much fun. You might as well have just done the top 6 movies and not even bothered with the "random" picks.

Carol Rocha
>>145023575

Aw…I guess starship troopers may win. But COLLATERAL is a great movie! I voted for FACE/OFF. I just think she would sincerely enjoy the crazy story line, action, as well as the ending. ❤️

WastedPo

Guys, vote for Collateral. It's Tom Cruise, and a great movie. I really don't understand the insistence of people who vote for movies that Cassie obviously won't like, especially when it means passing up ones she will. (This has been the plague of the Star Trek TNG polls as well.)

Carol Rocha

FACE/OFF is crazy good! 😊

Shawn Kildal
>>145025611

For me anyway, it doesn't have to do with the violence or anything along those lines. I thoroughly enjoyed the Aliens, Predetor, The Last Of Us, ect. reactions and glad Cassie saw them. Just simply the quality of the movie itself.

Clay F

Training Day (2001) is well worth watching for the Oscar performance by Denzel Washington. Face/Off (1997) is good. Leon the Professional (1994) and ST are okay. Twins (1988) at best is mediocre imo. I voted COLLATERAL (2004), which is awesome for several reasons. Plus, I think Cassie's reaction to Collateral (2004) [Cruise, Jamie Foxx] would be more interesting than her reactions to ST or Twins.

Mike Lemon
>>145025611

Yes, Bjorn, we know. You don't need to keep pushing Indictment: The McMartin Trial. We all know she would really like it, and she should watch it soon, but it's not in this poll.

LittleGalaxyBoy

Campaigning for Cassie to play Helldivers 2 (2024) next after Starship Troopers lol But on a serious note, after watching Cassie go through the Star Trek series. I think it would be amazing if she played Star Trek: Bridge Crew in VR. To experience what it's like to be on the bridge of the Enterprise, both original series, and next generation. Even just in her free time with the family.

Just Plain Bob
>>145025611

And that’s a valid criticism IMO. Although I like Starship Troopers (I presume that’s the movie you’re referring to), I know that many others do not. Voting against a selection because you think it’s inferior makes perfect sense to me. Voting against it just because you think Cassie won’t like it is a different matter. My personal criteria was summed up by Richard above: I vote for the movie I like most. If Cassie likes it, that’s great. If she doesn’t, well now we know. And some of her reactions to movies she hasn’t liked have been some of my favorites (The Thing, Robocop, The Shining, etc).

Mike Lemon
>>145028310

Don't worry. I haven't voted for a winner (or even top 2?) since The Natural. And I'm not entirely sure I voted for that.

Björn Karlsson
>>145025611

Hmmm.... An "expanding horizon poll" How about that? 😁 Yeah, it's better if Richard promotes it. 😄😄

Richard Maurer
>>145025611

For the record I voted For Starship Troopers, but I wouldn't mind if Collateral or Training Day won.

Cole Jennett
>>145029207

Don’t you think that if she did a random poll of the top 250 that the most highly requested movie would win pretty handily? I’d bet a top 50 would sneak in there and trounce the other options🤷‍♂️

Uncle Phoenix
>>145019941

@mike lemon I agree; and asking for constructive feedback is a healthy way of achieving those two goals.

John Yao

All very good selections, must watch all, but one of them has Natalie Portman's debut, care to guess which, Cassie?

Richard Maurer
>>145029439

I really don't understand the insistence of people who vote for movies that Cassie obviously WILL like. That's not expanding her horizons, as she herself asked for. What fun is it playing it safe all the time?

Richard Maurer
>>145029207

@ Cole - No, not really, not if it were truly random. I really doubt that most people who bother to vote on Popcorn Requests go much beyond the top 100. There are many great movies stuck further down the list because most people never see them to vote for them.

Stranger2Reality
>>145020497

Windtalkers was John Woo and Nic Cage, but I don't hear anyone ever talk about that like it's some action masterpiece. People always praise Woo for his stunts, which are fine, but personally I think the best thing about his movies is their unintentionally comedy. I'm sure a lot of people laugh along with Face/Off, but having seen a number of Woo's films, I think it's pretty evident he's not actually going for laughs. Nic Cage probably is, but Woo is a very straightforward director, who just unintentionally makes some very campy, silly movies.

Richard Maurer
>>145014865

There are movies way down the list that would get views if they could ever move up. Godzilla Minus 1 only has a handful of votes because it was stuck so far down the list most people never even saw it there.

Seymor Butz

Oh no...cassie is not going to like starship troopers

Christopher B.

I'm not here to complain about Cassie not liking Starship Troopers. No! Instead, I'm here to complain that it's doing so much better than Collateral; as fun as the Starship Troopers movie is when taken on its own cheeky value, it's such a poor adaptation of the book that I just always find myself ending up overall disappointed with it. Whereas with Collateral, you have Michael Mann doing another masterclass film at the top of his game. Oh well, at least I can say that every movie on this poll is still quite entertaining so Cassie still is likely to win no matter what.

David Collins
>>145014525

Not sure what was in last place 3 hours ago when you posted this, but Face Off is in last place right now and as far as I'm concerned, it deserves to be there.

JRCortez

I vote for The Professional, but the extended version. Better than the theatrical…..

Kristin D
>>145015653

Ok, I deleted my first response. I can't find where she posts about the "no-go parts" but after giving it a thought and thinking about the movie...yeah...there might be a part in there that would most definitely put her off, and could make her not enjoy it. Thanks for the reminder...it has been a while since I've seen the movie. I ended up voting for Starship Poopers anyway. :)

Dean Holt
>>145032932

I’m with you regarding Starship Troopers I just don’t see it being something she would like. But even though Collateral is a great movie, I’m not sure she would be fully on board with it just down to Tom’s character but it would be very interesting to see what she actually thinks.

I love early John Woo films such as “A Better Tomorrow”, “The Killer” and “Hard Boiled.” So I was very excited to see “Face/Off” when it first came out in theaters. Unfortunately, I fell violently ill during the movie and have never been able to watch it without vivid memories of that experience. Too bad, because it’s exactly what I like about those earlier Woo films, with the exception being that it doesn’t star the superb Chow Yun-fat.

Clay F
>>145029207

In Popcorn Requests in the mass at the bottom, there are some good movies (apparently being overlooked) but most of the mass at the bottom is obscure movies that I would not care to have as poll candidates.

Alex

Starship Troopers and Face/Off? Considering her reaction to Scream... this is going to be like a psychological torture test for Cassie.

Clay F
>>145029439

I voted Collateral, which is awesome for several reasons. Plus, I think Cassie's reaction to Collateral would be more interesting than her reactions to ST or Twins.

Richard Maurer
>>145029207

@Clay F - Well the obscure ones probably wouldn't win the poll, but it would be more fun if they did.

Clay F
>>145032932

Collateral (dang good) is better than ST. I voted Collateral. I think her reaction to Collateral would be interesting.

WastedPo
>>145029439

Richard, I hardly think that her watching "Collateral" is some kind of step down compared to the other selections here. I also don't see how her watching Klingon-centered episodes of Star Trek, when she's repeatedly indicated she prefers other types of episodes, somehow results in her becoming more cultured, like she's Eliza Doolittle from "My Fair Lady" or something.

Mojo One Thousand

I normally don't comment on these things about my opinions, but to quote a real life quote of Tommy Lee Jones, to Jim Carrey, "I cannot sanction your buffoonery". I just have never been able to get on board with "Starship Troopers". Even if I could pick more than one, it would be all of the others. Especially when there is an unhinged Nic Cage, Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington against type for performances that are in their personal top 5 best, and then Gary Oldman.

Kelby Farley

Yay! Love Starship Troopers!!

Omar
>>145018118

They do sometimes for me but not in a while, I’m on a long time losing streak here lmao

Richard Maurer
>>145029439

Actually Collateral was my second choice. And it's not about being more "cultured". It's about her going places outside her comfort zone, not being stuck in Candyland, so to speak. My favorite reaction(s) of Cassie's are to Lord of the Rings, which she loved. But my second favorite was to The Crow, which she did not love. But her Crow reaction was just so entertaining, seeing her try to wrap her head around something so clearly not of her world. I've watched her Crow reaction 3 times (2 more than most reactions) and it never gets old.

Robert da Spruce

Tough choice. All great movies! I think I’m leaning towards either Twins, Leon, or Training Day. I would love Cassie to watch all three eventually. And I think I’m gonna pick Twins!

DaftBasterd

Since you two met Tom Cruise in person, it's only right that you watch one of his best and most uniquely different performances in "Collateral"!

Mike Amandes

I know that Cassie's been getting out of her comfort zone with these reactions, but most of these choices make me nervous about how they'll be received. I voted for Twins, both because it's the one I think Cassie will like the most (and because it's my favorite movie on this list).

Philip Alan
>>145017173

I can name you 10 movies that I thought for sure she would hate but loved after reacting to it. I'll start with one: Mad Max: Fury Road. You just never know.

Clay F
>>145029207

True, the obscure ones probably wouldn’t win but would nevertheless take coveted poll candidate spots. As for an obscure movie winning for fun, that is lower priority to me than having known good movies fill the very few reaction slots each week. This may be moot because good, mediocre, and bad movies consistently win over excellent movies in polls. I feel Incongruent with the patron-voting plurality here.

Above Average Dave

Wow - a LOT of people seem to like STARSHIP TROOPERS. I remember seeing it in the theater when it came out and wanting my money back (and that’s even with Denise Richards gobbling up screentime). Maybe I was expecting it to be more like the book - I can’t remember. But it’s obviously popular so who am I to knock it?

Rod Reavern

I voted Starship Troopers because I’m certain Cassie’s reaction (hopefully Carly too) will be the most entertaining! 😁 Collateral would be my second choice, but I actually prefer Miami Vice (2006), which was also directed by Michael Mann and starred Jamie Fox — and Colin Farrell. It’s a shame that Miami Vice never got a sequel… but there’ve been 3 sequels to Bad Boys. 🙄

Mario
>>145029439

@Richard Maurer, Expanding Cassie's horizons is fine but I don't think that means suggestions on movies she would enjoy should be shunned or disregarded. Cassie can, and has done, both.

Steve kephart

The Professional is the best movie on that list. It has the best acting, the most heart, the best music and best cinamatography which is saying a lot because Collateral is a close second. But The Professinoal will stay with you far after watching it as you contemplate what you saw. It is a must watch.

Dioskur

>>145018735

It obviously left an impression which is the mark of a good movie. Plenty of great movies that don't end with rainbows and fairy tales. Training Day actually had a pretty good ending compared to were it almost ended up! Karma wins out. I actually prefer something with more of a gut punch like Se7en.

Mario
>>145029207

I think holding these polls more often would help movies lower on the totem pole. That way the top movies get their reaction and the lower ranked movies move up and take the vacant spots.

T.L.A
>>145018297

You suggest the movie and all the people who worked on it should not get credit because you disapprove of the director 's personal life? I believe Leonardo DiCaprio is dating a 18 year old. Do any of his movies not count anymore?

T.L.A
>>145035702

I'm with you on this one. If I ranked them all Starship Troops is dead last. It's to campy and more of a joke then a real movie. Even the deaths are silly. The others are actually good movies.

Mario
>>145018297

DiCaprio doesn't date children and make movies about it.

Michael Gilbrook

"The Professional" is the best film on this list. "Starship Troopers" is an awful film along multiple dimensions. But YouTube movie reactors have to take the good along with bad, I suppose. ST is popular, so I suppose it is inevitable that PIB will need to watch it.

Jay505

Hope the professional, training day, or collateral win this one. These 3 are way outside your wheelhouse...

Richard Maurer
>>145029207

@Clay F - Personally I find the mainstream, so-called "good" movies tend to be overrated. Of the top 100 on Popcorn Requests there's only a handful I actually care about. But, as they say, to each their own.

John

Not bad poll. Think Cassie would like Twins the best

Richard Maurer
>>145029439

@Mario - I don't know how I can be any plainer, it's not that I disregard movies I think she'll like, it literally never crosses my mind when I'm picking a movie in a poll. Starship Troopers is a clever movie with many surprises, technically well done and has some sort of uniqueness. Twins is a shallow comedy that exists only because Arnold was hoping to un-typecast himself and because the studio knew they would earn some cash with his name alone.

I didn’t like the Miami Vice movie the first time I saw it, mainly because it was so different from the show. Fortunately Bill Simmons and Chris Ryan talked me into it and now it’s one of my fav movies of the last 20 years and of the most underrated movies in recent times. I still think you’d need to have watched the show to fully appreciate it.

Happy Hanukkah

Starship Troopers currently has a promising lead. I am preemptively engaging in calming breathing exercises to deal with the onslaught of "Don't you understand this is ***SATIRE*** (TM)?!" comments. 🙄

Richard Maurer
>>145032788

Starship Troopers has become a more acclaimed movie, as more people have come to realize what it's really about, and is a satire of . But also certain other people have come to dislike it for the same reason. And that's as far down that rabbit hole as I'm willing to go.

Richard Maurer
>>145046372

Ever since Cassie liked 300 and watched It; Chapter 1 of her own accord I've noticed they've backed off of "It's too much for Cassie!" and switched to " Cassie won't like it! " as if she has to love every movie she watches or the world will end.

Steve Holton
>>145015653

**** SPOILER FOR THE FILM LEON, THE PROFESSIONAL **** A few of the stated no go rules for PIB have been explicit sexuality, demonic possession, and depicted harm to children. As we've seen in the past, Cassie is ready to dismiss a film if a child is harmed. Some have mentioned the questionable sexual content of the international version, and that may be an issue, however according to PIB rules, the more concerning part of LEON may be the death of Mathilda's toddler little brother by gun shot. Granted there is so much other great stuff in the film to redeem it, but many may be reluctant to recommend it since Cassie may not be able to get past this early event in the film and deem it a violation of her stated guidelines. I have the same concerns about another great "Lone Wolf and Cub" film "The Man From Nowhere." That film depicts significant medical harm to abducted children.

Just Plain Bob

It was definitely a sharp decline in quality after Hollywood “discovered” him. Still, given the over the top acting, the absurd premise and the little touches (gold guns, I love it), I suspect I would’ve liked “Face/Off” quite a bit more if I hadn’t fallen ill while watching it.

Stick Figure Studios

Aside from TWINS, I think these are all good movies worth watching (though some more than others obviously), so I'm on board with whatever wins. STARSHIP TROOPERS? Yeah, sure. Whatever. The satire will be lost on Cassie and the violence will gross her out, but it'll be a fun reaction. If we are talking the movie, Leon never does anything inappropriate. It's the young girl who has serious daddy issues and behaviors inappropriately. It's a good thing Leon is such a good man. If we are talking Luc Besson personally, he didn't according to the laws in France. To each their own. According to my girlfriend, DiCaprio does date "children"

Neill Shaughness

Bummed Twins isn't winning. Cassie would LOOOOVE that movie

Just a warnng Cassie, Leon the Professional is very heartning but sad. Also violent. Starship Troopers is also kinda gorey maybe Cassie should sit out that one if she's thinking of coming over. Twins? YEECH! Not a good movie but its your channel. Do whatever you like. Well... Can't wait to see what happens...

Kyle Prince
>>145074708

The purpose of this channel is for Cassie and her sister to come out of their shells and watch real movies. Were just here to watch her reactions and tag along. Before this started all she ever saw were chick flicks, Rom-coms really gaggy stuff that even some women I know wouldn't be interested in. She hadn't even seen Star Wars!!!!! She's come a very very long way. Cole Jennett's comment basically sets it up. She's watching movies she needs... to see... but still her own enjoyment is just as important. Not to mention her audience's enjoyment when she is shocked to see plot twists and when she's scared out of her head jumping from her seat like in The Shining and Arachniphobia. LOL! Its been a fun few years. I can't wait to see what else Cassie hasn't watched!

Mario
>>145018297

Putting quotation marks around children implies DiCaprio does not in fact date children. And using laws as a loophole to justify Besson relationship with a literal child really is quite the hill to fight on.

Story Archer
>>145074708

Richard, let's not create strawman arguments. That would be like me accusing you of only choosing movies she will hate because you like to see her miserable. That's not what anyone is saying here. No one has said that she should only watch Rom-Coms - I don't even see a Rom-Com on that list (except maybe Twins if you wanted to call it that). What I'm saying is that their enjoyment - including their anticipated enjoyment of something that might normally be considered out of their comfort zone - should be taken into account. Presumably we're following Cassie because we enjoy seeing Cassie enjoy watching films we love, and those of us whom have been here long enough have gotten a pretty good sense of what she's going to enjoy. There are TONS of films that I personally love but would never inflict on her, and there's no need, because there are still SO many films out there that I know she will love. I personally keep a top 25 list and I always look forward to crossing something off of it.

My_Cousin_Mose

I saw Starship Troopers once when I was 15. It was ok but I never felt the need to watch it again. I voted for Twins but I'm equally happy to revisit this and see if it lives up to the hype. I highly doubt it will.

Story Archer
>>145089305

lol - while I would never personally call Twins a good movie, I suspect she'd enjoy it herself... and it has a little nostalgia for me because I had my first kiss at that movie. Still didn't get my vote though.

JC762

Well I guess troopers was inevitable. She has to complete the trifecta.

Richard Maurer
>>145074708

I've literally said this several times in these comments but I'll say it again since maybe you didn't read any of my earlier comments. I don't spend one second wondering if Cassie will like the movie I vote for, nor do I wonder if she won't like it. I vote for the movie I like best, period, no other consideration. But too many (imo) people here seem to fret over every movie choice.- she'll like this one, she won't like that one, and everytime the movie that's winning the poll isn't the "right" movie for Cassie they have to make sure everyone knows it, some even take to berating other people for daring to choose a "inappropriate" movie for her. What really gets me is that so many here seem to think it's the worst thing in the world if Cassie sees a movie that she doesn't love. Well that's life, not everything you watch is going to be for you, but how would you know if you're not even willing to try something different. Which is the real problem with this attitude - Cassie is willing to try different things, but some here don't want to let her, they seem to think it's their job to decide for her.

Richard Maurer
>>145025611

@Joe - you're probably right about that, but there's a very vocal minority here who love tell people when they think we've voted for a movie that's "not right" for Cassie.

Clay F
>>145089305

Twins is dead last in my personal ranking of these 6 movies.

rakesh
>>145029207

Depends on how long you want this channel to last. If we pick all the films that we think Cassie will like, we'll reach a state where she'll be continuously watching movies she doesn't like. Likewise, picks from the top 25 or 50 can lead to similar issues. Yes, things move up as she watches them, but then you're going to eventually have a glut of mid-tier movies. Random polls, sometimes picking from the bottom, give her the chance at gems, and it also provides variety.

Clay F

For the six entries in the poll, below is my personal ranking in order of favorite to least favorite. Good: 1. Collateral (top choice) 2. Face/Off 3. Training Day (Oscar performance by Denzel) 4. Leon the Professional (a young Natalie Portman) Acceptable: 5. ST Weak: 6. Twins (dead last) For my personal tastes: --The first four are good (and would be interesting reactions). --ST is okay. Her reaction on par with Batman or Big Trouble, but more repulsed? --Twins is at best mediocre. Cassie would be bored?

rakesh

Cassie didnt love Robocop. She didnt like nor didnt hate total recall. but enjoyed the scifi. think she'll be the same for Starship Troopers considering its Paul Verhoeven. Doesnt matter. It will do decent enough viewing numbers

Richard Maurer
>>145029207

Popular movies are important obviously. But with so many reaction channels, all pumping out reactions to the same popular movies, even the popular movies are becoming stale and boring. A willingness to try new and different things, fun, unpredictable things is just as important as watching popular movies imo. Truly popular movies, the kind that get big YT views, aren't going to last forever.

Mike Lemon

Evil Darth Carl

Starship Troopers is one of those misunderstood gems of a movie. There’s two reasons why this movie should be on the watch list for any reviewer (or cinephile). First is the method it was shot. It uses a B-movie cast, has a deliberate B-movie look and feel, but is not a B-movie; it has a large budget, excellent special effects, high production values and is well shot. The B-movie look and feel is a nod to the book and the sci-fi imagery of time.

Evil Darth Carl

second the movie is a tongue in cheek, subversive look at the utopian view of benevolent Fascism which was also common in sci-fi of the time. The cynical humor highlights this. Finally, Cassie and Carly may or may not like this movie. It doesn’t matter. The subject matter and means by which that subject matter is presented makes the movie absolutely worth watching. As others have said; at heart it is parody. Next up? Dr. Strangelove…

Evil Darth Carl

please read the last paragraph first lol. Thanks

You're totally right. It's perfectly acceptable for a 29 year old man to date a 15 year old child he first met when she was 12 as long as it's legal in the country they're in. And then make a movie where two main characters were inspired by that relationship.

Have to say I’m quite amused the two movies Cassie is going to like the least are currently winning. Really didn’t expect that, but I’m super excited to see what she makes of Starship Troopers. Hopefully she doesn’t invite Carly along to that one! 😆🍿

Mark White

I am a fan of starship troopers, but I wouldn’t ask Cassie to watch it. Cassie history so far is not great with Paul Verhoeven movies (Robocop, total recall) I got the impression she wasn’t a fan! Especially on a list which has Twin’s, which Cassie would love and her man Cruise in Collateral. But it’s going to be hard for me to not vote for Leon, which is my favourite on this list. 🙂

Archronos

This has been a tough week for Cassie's polls! On YouTube one of my alltime favorites "Frequency" is bottoming out and unlikely to win, and then I came here to see "Leon", "Face/Off", "Training Day" and "Collateral" all washing out as well. Whew :(

Stick Figure Studios
>>145089305

Not intended as an insult. Just an observation based on past experience. This discussion has been had before among PIB patrons. As she demonstrated with both ROBOCOP and SCREAM, satire doesn't especially land with Cassie when it's couched in extreme violence. Cassie is such an earnest reactor (a big reason why she makes such a good one) and emotionally invests in stories so fully that the nature of the violence tends to override whatever satirical point is being made. Really sophisticated satire requires a certain degree of ironic detachment and that just not her strong suit. I mean, I could be wrong. I'd be happy to be wrong (Cassie has certainly surprised us before), but I doubt it. Anyway, we'll see. If I'm mistaken in my assessment, I'll be the first to admit it.

If you think ST is going to expand her horizons, your giving the film more credit than it deserves 😂😂. It’s a good movie for what it is and I enjoy pop it on every so often. But after she’s watched Robocop and Total Recall I think personally we are just going to get a similar reaction. I’m not saying she shouldn’t watch it and if it didn’t win this poll I’m sure she would have watched it eventually. But imo it’s maybe the worst movie on the list, but one good thing for her is it will get her a lot of views on YouTube.

HEY CASSIE! STARSHIP TROOPERS IS A SATIRE OF FASCISM!!!! There, no need to mention that again. But of course it will be when it's announced that ST won the poll.

Poll results have been surprising, I voted for Collateral. Cassie will eventually react to all these films, just a matter of time. I don't think ST will be her cup of tea, but should be a fun reaction for us (haha).

Joe

Spot on with your observation, I've noticed that also.

Joe
>>145074708

Well said Richard, I agree 100%. I always just pick the movies I like, no other considerations at all.

Joe
>>145049323

What movies are good or bad is just opinion. Cassie has to react to whatever wins polls. I'm here to be entertained and Cassie never fails to do that.

Joe
>>145035702

Cassie has something like 3500 paying patreons who can vote, I just get my one vote (haha), I'll watch whatever wins. She'll get around to all these films sooner or later.

Joe
>>145032932

I don't care if she likes or dislikes a movie, none of my business. 95% of everything she reacts to entertains me.

@Joe to be clear: my "not liking" comment was a reference towards others in this community disagreeing with movies that "Cassie wouldn't like" winning polls, and not my own feelings on the matter. My votes and recommendations usually go towards, "this is easily the best, or most engaging," even if I think the PIB sisters will ultimately dislike it. (For example: "The Shining" and "John Carpenter's The Thing".)

Starship Troopers is a great movie but not Cassie's cup of tea, lbh

Alex

She's an empath. Extreme violence (especially torture) is very hard, if not impossible, for her to watch. (e.g. the part in The Departed where they're hitting Leo's cast with a boot - she couldn't bear to watch it). I doubt she'd even be able to finish a movie like Hostel. Starship Troopers and Face/Off aren't that extreme, but they seem like they're enough of a step in that direction to seem like odd choices for her.

Robin T

Oh well. I love Starship Troopers, but it's the last one on this list I'd be interested in Cassie's reaction to.

To say it's a "B movie cast" is probably being kind. Though I'm a fan of Tom Clancy and Michael Ironside.

Clarence Newman

Cassie always watches the top 3 on her polls. Therefore, yeeha for Twins!!!

Clarence Newman

Three very different films, but all worth watching. This was a tough poll, because everybody seems to have wanted 3 or 4 choices. I think Cassie would love Twins, enjoy Collateral more than she would otherwise because Tom Cruise is in it, and appreciate Denzel's colossal performance in Training Day without necessarily enjoying the film. That would be my reason for choosing them in that descending order.

Vlad D

Clancy Brown was awesome in this. "The enemy can not push the button if you disable his hand." Hahaha 😆 every time

Richard Maurer

Looking at the poll and the Popcorn Requests order for each film, I noticed while they are mostly in the same order as they are on the list, Training Day did better than Face/Off. But Face/Off is higher ranked than Training Day on Popcorn Requests. So, even with such a small sampling (top 25) it's still possible for a film to move up in rank in an actual poll, contrary to what some people have said.

Mr. Crowley

I'm just gonna throw Streets of Fire as a random rec. Why? Because I can.

Polls are not a great way to decide things. It is like two wolves and one sheep voting on what is for dinner. A lot of the time people have not seen all the movies on the list so they go with what they know. I mean we got "Live and Let Die" for one of Moore's two Bond films for Pete's sake, which tells you all you need to know.

Joe
>>145186869

I'm not a fan at all of random polls that mix & match different genres. Keep the polls genre specific or based on some theme (directors, actors, etc..). Cassie will get around to all the films in her top 100 sooner or later, so it's just a waiting game for fans of certain films. IMO "Live & Let Die" was the best start for the Moore films, I found it entertaining. She can always go back and watch a few more Bond films, hey we need a poll (haha).

I've wondered that Popcorn Requests include requests by people no longer a patron.

Richard Maurer
>>145519479

@Clay F - It does, I've been told. Also the number of people who actually use Popcorn Requests isn't that large. The highest ranking movie only has 150 requests. Meanwhile this poll had over 1400 votes.

JohnnyRico

I just want to thank everybody for voting for my movie to win! You guys r awesome!!!

Clay F
>>145493744

Yep, sad. My guess is Cassie would be bored by Twins. In contrast, Collateral is stunning. Grips you. Training Day has the Denzel Oscar performance. Twins at the bottom of the barrel.

Clarence Newman
>>145493744

I would probably have agreed with you on Twins, Clay, but that was before I watched her reaction to Kindergarten Cop. She clearly liked the goofy, cuddly version of Arnie and Twins is more of the same. DeVito is great in it too. I agree that Collateral and Training Day are far better and more important films to tick off, but I know she'll enjoy Twins.

Richard Maurer
>>145493744

I think she'll like Twins, probably not love it. But is it a film she needs to see? Not really. She's be better off with any other film in the poll, even Face/Off - imo.

Bernd Schneiders

Actually .... those are all great movies ... I guess I habe watched Face Off already at least 5 times 😅

5cmPerSecond

Y'all really did Face/Off dirty with this poll lol..
