Hey guys! Here is the YT edit for Kick-Ass which will premiere later today! Sorry for getting this up so late, my parents are in town and so things are a little behind. Highlander coming up soon!

Darn. I was about to rent a blonde wig and try my hand impersonating Cassie on YouTube, hoping no one would notice.

William Brownlee

Just my opinion, but this isn't a very good movie. Highlander is better and could have been very good with a few changes. I am in the path of the coming storm. Hope everyone is safe and the damage is as little as possible.

Sam Fuller

They're both Quicksilver.

Uncle Phoenix

That’s what we need, a poll on what Cassie should wear for Halloween. I vote for Mortica Addams or maybe Wednesday Addams.

Dave

Hello to Mom and Dad Popcorn, I hope the visit is full of all the good things!

brismithejedi

This is an awesome movie! You're gonna hate it though lol

It's surprising that Kick-Ass is one of the few superhero films to feature a young teenage sidekick, especially in a world where Robin has been conspicuously absent from live-action films since Batman & Robin (1997). And even then, the Robin we got in the 1990s was played by a 24-year-old Chris O'Donnell!. It’s been 26 years since we’ve seen Robin in a film, so thank you, Kick-Ass, for giving us a badass sidekick! Big Daddy and Hit-Girl the Dynamic Duo I never asked for but definitely needed. Also is it just me, or is Nicolas Cage channelling Adam West's Batman with his mannerisms and voice as Big Daddy?

John A

Kick Ass is ok but the best non comic book based superhero movie is Super starring DWIGHT SHRUTE! Would make a great reaction from you and Carly

Jose Deleon

It took you forever that that’s Aaron Taylor Johnson 😂 that was hilarious

Shad Kanyak

Have you taught your kids to talk like Chloe Moretz as Hit Girl yet? Lots of hilarious colorful language.

Colton Piper

Your realization to figuring out Kick Ass is Aaron Taylor Johnson was hilarious hahaha. “He’s hot now. Like going to be Bond hot.”

Dan M

Your reaction to this movie kicked ass! I had a lot of fun watching the full reaction. Hoping I can catch the YouTube premiere later on. Hope you’re having a great time with Pop-corn and Mom-corn visiting!

Pat Cecil

Love this anti-super hero movie, funny as anything!

Technically we had Robin in the Dark Knight Rises. But yes, Nic Cage is 100% doing an Adam West impersonation in this movie, and it's hilarious.

Ross Warshaw

Hearing Cassie say "ass" and be so proud and at the same time ashamed of it, may be the cutest thing on the internet ever. A MONEY MONEY!!!

That's true. Personally, I think the reveal of John Blake as "Robin" in The Dark Knight Rises felt like a cheap nod to the audience rather than a genuine adaptation of Robin's legacy. It seemed like they just wanted to throw in the name without truly honoring Robin's history or the dynamic he has with Batman. To me, John Blake’s legal name being Robin doesn’t actually make him Robin. It’s like watching a Captain America trilogy that completely skips over Bucky, and then in the third film, they introduce a new character only to casually reveal at the end that his name is "Bucky." It would feel incredibly underwhelming for fans of the character and leaves us thinking about what we could’ve experienced instead. But Technically I guess that was a version of Robin, even if I don't count it myself.

Both can be good for what they are meant to be.

Deadpool got Colossus to use profanity in Deadpool 2.. Your brother got you to say A$$ on YouTube.. Enjoy he🏒🏒.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Fantastic reaction 😄👍👍

Warren Robinson

Imagine if Cassie saw this before Wandavision...😄

tyler barnaby

This is the biggest moment in PiB history Cassie swearing!? Whoah mark this in your calendar folks

Ria Grix

Cassie, you have completely evolved into a movie nerd. You totally got the Quicksilver link and that really puts you in the premiere nerd league. 😂

Well it did take her all movie to figure it out but when she did you saw the light bulb go on

Ria Grix

I had completely forgotten that Nicholas Cage talks like Adam West’s Batman. Superb detail.

Yes, she was teetering on edge of realising it… and then click! 💡 lol

Was this movie written by a virgin? That intro....hmm. Good reaction to the murderous little girl. Yeah, that's a new one. How do you like your Batman? Medium well. The jetpack lost me. It became Deadpool as a little girl at that point. Points for creativity, but it's the dysfunctional Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Joe

I'm always here for Cassie's reaction, the movie itself was pretty lame IMO.

Mario

I remember enjoying this movie when it first came out in theaters but as I've gotten older, the more I've started to dislike this movie and how it's become emblematic of a larger issue I have with Hollywood: The over-reliance of sex and violence in place of good story telling. Take away the excessive sex and violence from Kick-Ass and what are you left with? A very thin plot.

Mario

Zack Snyder would blush at the sight of a Batman look-alike executing criminals the way he did.

Ronny Boss

I found it really funny with your reluctance to say A$$ on screen. What is the swear word you use the most off camera? I know there has to be at least one. I'll take the first letter of it 😄

Shawn Kildal

The actor that played Quicksilver in the Marvel movies also had a major role in The Mare of Easttown with Kate Winslet. An HBO show your brother was trying to get you to watch if I remember correctly.

Kyle

There's violence but thats part of the plot, that superhero'ing is more violent and difficult than Kick Ass fantasizes about. The plot is very good, with fun characters and only a little sex.

Ian Tonge

So if Aaron Taylor-Johnson does become the next Bond, that means that we'll have two consecutive Bonds that have been in Matthew Vaughn films which included a bright yellow range rover and Dexter Fletcher playing a character named Cody. That feels like a pub quiz question in the making. I enjoyed the movie when it came out, but I have to say I'm not sure it's aged terribly well when taken as a whole. Much of it comes across as trying to be shocking just for the sake of being shocking, which might have appealed to younger me but doesn't really do anything for older me. Mark Strong is always a treat though, especially as a villain.

Kick-Ass has "moderate" rating for sex & nudity on IMBb parent's guide, the same as several movies Cassie has reacted to and less than the "severe" rating that True Detective S1, BS Dracula, and Deadpool all three have. In general, sex can be good in movies if not gratuitous but instead to advance a setting or time, character development, a plot, etc. I agree that good storytelling is awesome.

Clay F

I enjoyed the movie -- exceeded my expectations. The Hit-Girl character is awesome.

Chris Thom

Not gonna lie I never would've thought that kid would be in the running to be the next Bond. That's cool though. Neville-level glow up.

Paul Stelter

I'm surprised she liked it so much given the violence (still less violent than James Gunn's SUPER though...). Maybe just as well Carly didn't catch this one!

DragonConToddOfTheDiscerningGeeksPortalPodcast

Just curious…. Do you edit the episodes yourself? Do you use separate software completely or does YouTube have any built-in features for helping to edit reactions?

Mario
>>150319366

I don't know why you bring up Cassie's reaction to True Detective, Dracula, and Deadpool. Those films and shows don't use shock value as a crutch for their storytelling (which is what Kick-Ass does).

Brent Petty

Yep. And he does a great job. Better than many of the channels that use a professional video editing service to do it for them.
